I've only ever seen Cannibal Corpse live aside from a few crappy local bands. My area is too isolated to attract many major bands. The last big band to come before CC was Rotting Christ, about 10 years ago. That might change though, as some guys are planning to create a local festival that will attract a few more bands.

I'm thirty four and live in Melbourne so I have probably seen literally hundreds of live bands.
My first gig was The Cosmic Psycho's back when I was sixteen.

I've seen A LOT, mainly because I've been to a lot of festivals. Notable ones are Korn, NOFX, ad Billy Talent. There've been tons more though.

I honestly cannot see the appeal of seeing a band/artist live when you could just listen to the pre-recorded version(which is usually better quality) and not have to put up with all of the other people there spoiling it anyway

Too many to list really. Notable bands? Bands that you folk might be familiar with? Hrm. Saw Siouxsie Sioux in NY a couple of years ago, really cool show. Debbie Harry was in the audience. Played a show with Zoe Bonham (John Bonham from Led Zepplen's daughter), she dj'd again in NYC. Saw Joe Strummer perform with his Mescaleros awhile back. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs put on one of the best live shows I know of, so do the Hives. Almost forgot one slightly more notable one, saw Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine outside my apt a year or two ago. The street I live on (Lark St) has this Lark Fest thing every year, big deal, street filled with people beer and bands. The main stage was built right below our Apt, me my roommates and the fuckton of people we invited hung out on the roof enjoying the music till the police kicked us off. Never liked Rage, never liked the whole Rap-metal thing, but Tom Morello did some cool folk protest classic type shit.

Other than that drawing a blank. Lots and lots of small shows with obscure bands throughout the years.

I haven't seen any yet but I am going to see Disturbed on their tour in December. My chemotherapy stops in november so my friends bought me a ticket to go with them as a celebration.
