So, fellow Escapists, I just hopped out of the shower and to my horror, I saw a bundle of gray hairs on my hair. I'm nineteen years old, and I just laughed it off as I pulled them out. But that got me thinking, I ask you, have you ever felt like you're aging too fast, or not fast enough?

I've never felt that way.

I've been told I look around 20, yet I'm only 16. I also have matured far faster than my peers, but I still don't feel old, if that makes sense.

I'm told I look anywhere from 18 to 29 when I grow my beard out.

I was 15 when those comments started. I'm 16 now, and they don't stop unless I shave. It's kind of awesome :)

Not yet! I'm told I look older than my age (I'm 20, but people say I look 25-30 which is... disconcerting), but that's just down to rugged good looks.

I bought a bunch of fireworks when I was 16 thanks to sideburns. You gotta be 18 to get them, and it was rather epic. Guess they counted on the sign scaring away the kiddies, because it said "We check ID, if you're under 18, don't try". Nobody carded me.

I don't know if I'm aging to fast, but everybody else does seem to be getting younger.

I'm the opposite of everyone posting here apparently. I actually look much younger than my age. I'm nearly 18 now, but I can still pass as 14/15.

Ha! Just wait until your reputation as "8 times a night Mike" is less about making love and more about bladder control, then you'll really know what age is.

When draughts start to hurt that's when it really hits home. You can be injured by cold air.

People say I look young for my age. I'm going to be 17 soon, so I'll get ID'ed when trying to buy an M-rated game.

I blame society for forcing us to grow up fast. And thus too fast

Well, gray hair is better than no hair. Just die it if it becomes a problem. Not like anyone will know really. :p

I seem to veer wildly between feeling like a jaded old bastard and a fresh faced naive child.

Hormones, eh?
Comes with too much time on the internet. I get that too.

OT:

Just turned 30 last week and my gifts from God were to have half a tooth randomly fall out (I've had perfect teeth all my life), the GF find a bunch of new grey hairs on me, an old man wheezing flu and an allergic reaction to some new fangled food product that's had me whacked up on prescription steroids for 4 days and severe back pain (though I think that's Red Dead Redemption's fault).

I really feel old this week.
