Duke Nukem: Forever, I had never complained about loading times in a game until I played that. Sure I've played plenty of games with load times that take longer than they should. But Duke Nukem: Forever just took the piss.

ModNation Racers has quite big loading times and they are quite often. This among other reasons (such as DLC) is why I'm not buying it. Maybe when the second instalment comes out I'll consider getting into it.

Oblivion and Fallout 3. Loading screen about every 2 minutes and after 4 hours of gameplay they start to go on.

99% of all CS:S servers. 440 .wav-files to download? Why? Because no one understands that hearing "GODLIKE!!1" was more annoying than useful. Game was good, community wasn't.

The Sims 2 had ridiculous load times. Anytime you wanted to go anywhere, you'd have to wait for that part of the game load even if you had just been there a minute ago. I could literally go make myself something to eat and come back with time to get comfortable again before some of my Sims' houses loaded.

The Sims 3 also has a pretty lengthy load time but you only experience it when you first start up a neighborhood for your play session. After that, all the locales are practically waiting for you.

Dawn of War: Soulstorm.

The campaign meta-map takes forever to load and the larger skirmish maps' loading bars sometimes go backwards.

It isn't quite "Put casette in, type load, go away for half an hour" but it was certainly a noticeable step back from Dark Crusade.
Yeah Soulstorm is quite bad with loading times. I never beat the campaign because of it, hell I never really bother playing it anymore. I still play Dark Crusade for hours on end though, it's just too much fun.

Recently? Gran Turismo 5. Of all time? I used to have a 386 DX2-40 that I ran Windows 95 on, so... SkiFree.

One of my very first PS2 games was some viking hack-n-slash called Rune. I don't know if it was something wrong with the discs, but it took ages for the game to load.
Also the elevators in Mass Effects. How I hated them.

DA:Origins, I played some Layton on my ds waiting for stuff to load, man.
Also Sims2, but that's because I have like 2000 mods on there.

Wow, no mention of The Witcher yet? Even after the Enhanced Edition patch it was so damn slow. Before the atch it was was hellishly long apparently (never played it until EE).

TF2's load times when joining a server can be long, but they'd fine once you're in.

Waiting to join a server in tf2.

I don't know why it takes so damn long.

I'm guessing it's because steam has to load the map everytime you join a server, and it's not stored on the computer, but...

Also, the Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game from a while back (for the record, I was seven).

Actually, TF2 loading time has increased with every update since the Pyro update. It used to load real fast. Joining a server was a matter of a few seconds.

Maps are stored on the computer. Check your maps folder.

The Elder Scrolls, Morrowind.

Sweet mother a' mercy...
Haha. I know what you mean. I had it for Xbox, and the loading times were insane. When I eventually got it for PC, it was completely different; loaded just so, so much faster. Difference was night and day.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Hands down. I don't know if it is my OS (windows 7), or my video card, (probably the later) but this game takes at LEAST 20 minutes to load a save, and 40 minutes to load a new game!

I win (and lose, at the same time.)

Other then the broken game, Star Wars Battlefront 2. 2-3 minutes to change maps.

Superman on the C64.

The loading-screen can be as long as 6 1/2 minutes - Jesus, we're in no rush, but, there's a LIMIT!

Dead Rising 2.

Crappy graphics card if crappy.

Fable, The Loading Chapters, wasn't so bad, i tend to stick to retro, the only modern console i have is a wii and the loading on that is really short, so i'm good
