Am I the only one who's sick of these lame-ass repetitive jokes? They even lifted a bit straight off of Jon Stewart.

Back in the War years, it was Japanese (but really any non-Middle Eastern or Indian looking person from Asia), Germans, and Italians who were "totally acceptable" targets, then it was the Russians and Chinese (again, really anybody from East of Burma), and now it's the Irish, Canadians, French, Americans (funny enough), and still East Asians.

This was not funny, nor has it been the 95 other times I've heard the exact same bits.
Learn some material that isn't old, unfunny, and offensive
given that we, as canadians, spent the entire video taking the piss out of ourselves, you can class this video squarely in the "self-depricating" category, rather than that of "attack based on nationalism"

yes, the ground is well trodden. such is life when having fun with stereotypes.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it.

It doesn't matter if it's self-depreciating, in fact that makes it worse. Why would you want to perpetuate pathetically old "jokes" at your own expense? Many people use that bullshit excuse, but the Canadian nationality is so depreciated, it would have almost no resale value. Especially less than a week after Canada Day. Garbage like this is just like Blaxploitation: It reaffirms negative stereotypes, and it is willingly participated in by the people who should be outraged by it.

You've definately lost most of your real Canadian viewers.
Thats just so much silliness. If a joke reaffirms stereotypes, than the people affected are hopeless anyway.

The ability to make jokes about yourself is an important social skill. Being offended by this is silly.

Yes, as a half-german I'm somewhat weary of all the war jokes STILL being done on foreign and domestic TV, but if its a good joke I'll laugh.

So.. shame you didn't like it, that happens, but being offended? Dude.. you might want to think about relaxing? Just a thought.

Sorry.

Well, they aren't jokes about me, are they? If I was making fun of myself as a person, that would be fine. Mocking a nationality with tired stereotypes is not, and if more people had attitudes like that, America would be stuck in a 40's-50's state of mind, where the non-Whites just laugh along with the ignorant people who think everything is an Ancient Chinese Secret.

I'm not angry, just saddened by the continuation of this "Go ahead, mock us all day long" attitude.

Hey, our (New Zealand's) constant apologising stems from insecurity too! *And* we have that whole size issue ;-P How is that 'synthetic'? =D Loved that kiwi saying 'Bugger Off' though. Hilarious =)

I apologize for any previous hate directed at you by the posters on this thread. As a Canadian, I feel bad that anyone could or has been offended by such a truly Canadian piece of art and also I feel bad that the true sincerity of the Canadian brand Sorry (I apologize for not including the trademark symbol) could not be accepted by the masses. To summarize, I, on behalf of all Canada, apologize to any and all people who read this.

Wait, LRR folks are Canadian? Canadians constantly trick me. So many "All-American" things are Canadian. Kirk? Bauer? And as the olympics taught me...McFly?

It's all setting up for an incredibly polite coup in 2035.

I'm sorry I watched this video. I was obviously not invited to this video page and I didn't mean to offend anyone with my presence here.

*gags at the mention of Justin*

Sorry, I'll leave the room and vomit elsewhere.

Sorry.

As a Canadian, I find that offensive. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I feel.

I'm also sorry that I couldn't think of anything better than another damn 'sorry' joke.

Seriously though, it's all absolutely true. "Canadians aren't polite, just incredibly insecure." Truer words were never spoken.

I'm so sorry but I think I'm going to have to report you to the Canadian Senate Committee on Polite Governance and Apologizing for this skit.

I do most sincerely apoligise, but I must inform you that I did not find the "Canadians are not polite, just insecure" joke to be amusing in the slightest. I am truly sorry for any emotional damage this may cause you or anyone you know or have ever been aware of. If I may, I would like to humbly request an apology for this, if it's possible to do so without too much inconvenience. I would also like to apoligise for any distress my words may have caused in advance.

You're humble servant,

Lonan
