7 weeks and 5 days uptime now on windoze 7.
Last bluscreen I got was three years ago, and that was because of a faulty sound card.

Crazy Eyes Girl as Linux was a great choice.
Agreed. Missie pretty much steals any video she's in. :) Everyone did a great job, though!

The second computer we had at home ran Windows ME.

So.. yeah.

Worst years ever, computerwise.

Good one!
never heard about that Xerox thing though
This is the quick and dirty Wikipedia summary [https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Xerox_Parc#The_GUI].

Alternatively, watch the fictionalized, but humorous interpretation from The Pirates of Silicon Valley [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0168122/]:

I dunno what the OS as such it is, on the Voyager probes, but that's the most reliable thing (with any degree of complexity) I've heard of, read up their history and you'll see.

Yeah, but how long did it take for him to LEARN to do that l33t manoeuvre at the drop of a hat...? ;)

Sadly this video did not do the song justice. When Wes Borg did it live on DesertBus it was amazing, I think over production has actually sullied the song quite abit.
Hate to say it, but my thoughts exactly.

I guess Wes is probably more of a live performer kind of guy.

Google had an OS, like beside the Android they love so much?
Yeah, Chrome OS [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrome_os]. Yeah, it looks alot like the web browser, and it's built on top of Linux. Holding a big press conference on it tomorrow, even though people have been running beta builds of it since they announced it... a year or two ago?

Music video was great, especially the stinger. Still kinda prefer the acoustic version played over Desert Bus, but this wasn't bad.

Lastly, am I the only one on this thread who's actually heard of the VIC-20 before he played that song during Desert Bus?
(And I heard of it only from one of the Halloween 2008 episodes of The Angry Video Game Nerd.)
Nope. Not only do I know of the VIC-20, I actually used one for a while. My friend used one for some programming he was doing, and he had even added 16k of RAM via the expansion port. He traded up to the C64 when it was released, and then grabbed the C128 when it came out. We both had started our respective programming experiences on the Commodore Pet. He stuck with Commodore stuff, whereas I was more into music so I jumped over to Atari (first with the 600XL and then on to the 520ST). The PC side of window-based operating systems didn't impress me at all until I installed IBM's OS/2 version 3 on my old 386 system. I still miss OS/2.

Missie is awesome.

So is LRR related to 3 Dead Trolls?
Wes Borg also lives in Victoria, and has become a friend of ours over the past couple years. So there's some nifty collaboration now and then.

That and it also doesn't suck.

Which is a very bittersweet victory, as the only reason you get less viruses with Mac/Linux is that more people use windows (therefore it makes sense for virus designers to specifically target it).
There's a bit more to it then that, but that's the main reason why none hasn't tried developing one.
Unix based systems are playing a very long game of Russian roulette. Every time Apple brags about not having viruses, they put another bullet in the verylarge chamber and pull the trigger. And one of these days they are going to shoot themselves playing it.

I figured this would be awesome as soon as Wes showed up. And it was. Awesome song, Wes.
