I'm from Perth, Australia. You've not heard of anyone from here, so I'm going to post a couple of awesome local bands.
Make Them Suffer are doing quite well, they've done some shows over East a couple of times. That's the East Coast of Australia I'm talking about.
Easily my favourite local band, brilliant musicians and actually great guys. That guy on the left, his sleeve is videogame themed. Cartoon style, Mario and the like. It's pretty damn awesome.

Well, I live in/near Pittsburgh, so I know the Clarks for sure are from here.

EDIT: and while its not really close, Breaking Benjamin is from Wilkes-Barre. Poison is also from PA, from Mechanicsburg (closer to Philly).

I don't care for The Clarks. Everyone I know absolutely adores them, but I think people only like them because they're locals. They're generic in my opinon.

The only local bands I can think of are The Delaney's, they're alright, nothing special and Dethlehem who are metal. They're pretty cool. You're right I can't really think of any local bands, Pittsburgh isn't a huge music city.

Yeah, mark doesnt like them either XD Id otn mind them, but they are generic. I guess they're pittsburgh's nickelback.

BUt i wouldnt say we're not a big music city. We might not be a nashville or a Seattle, but we do have quite a good number of people from all genres. Its just that not much of it is huge name or they go to bands that are more famous for starting somehwere else.

There is enough stuff to appease everyone, but I think Pittsburgh is going to get better because of Stage AE.

I can't believe I forgot about Formula 412
