So, the gaming industry throws out promises all the time, but which of the gaming industries many lofty promises interest you?

Broken Steel, from what their hyping is starting to sound like a load of bullocks. I don't see that much content being released in a Downloadable Package.

Star Wars: The Old Republic, it'll never happen.

Fallout Online, Never happen.

Yes it will.
Until I see an open beta, i'll still say we'll see free medical care and legalized pot before we see Star Wars: The Old Republic. Good things never exsist and when they do exsist their usually so rushed to be released that they glean over important details, like fun.

I would like to think Star Wars: The Old Republic will happen as well as Fallout Online.

The Old Republic should and probably will happen, with something so hyped up, even in its development stages, if the whole thing was to suddenly go south, there would be millions of angry Star Wars fans. With what I've seen with screen shots so far, it looks nice, characters are well designed and the levels look decently detailed. The only thing we can really do is wait and hope.

Fallout Online is a good idea which I hope comes to fruition, but it was also a requirement when the rights to Fallout were bought, so I can see this happening and I believe had heard that they have recently started working on it, I could be wrong, or I was dreaming...I hope I'm right though.

Yes, fun is usually the last things they put into games right before they ship them. So sometimes to save time they just leave it out.

Have you guys thought about what kind of gameplay and graphic downgrades would Fallout need to get to be a MMORPG?

ON TOPIC: Starcraft: Ghost

Fable 2 being more epic than the first one. I honestly preferred the first one.
I'm afraid that for the most part, I'd have to go against you there. Fallout 2 had less pressure to achieve the plot device piece of vault-tec stuff you needed, and it didn't force you to go with big guns or energy weapons just to cause damage. (Gauss Rifle ftw)

I'm afraid you misread his post there, he's talking about Fable instead of Fallout. And I preferred Fallout 1 over 2. Don't know why, but I just enjoy Fallout 1 much more.

I have little experience with it, beyond watching my girlfriend play Fable 2 now and then. It looks like a decent enough game, but I don't know how much fun it would be after pulling the 100th pint. But then, I have fallen prey to numerous MMO's and JRPGs in the past, so I'd probably be just fine.
