Morrowind... I mean. If you're out in the wilderness and the stilt striders are very far away, you don't have fast travel (I miss this) and you're going to be walking and walking until you get somewhere.
I know the feeling. I wasted long hours trekking through wilderness in that game.

THE longest game I've ever played is Grand Theft Auto 4 I mean, JEEZ that game took forever for me to beat and a lot of the time I got bored or got interested in something else.

Well, the longest game I've ever played (and still playing). Is Battlefield 2 juiced with Project Reality mod..

At this moment my gameplay time passed 350 hours..
Since there hasn't been any realistic, different forms of warfare (conventional and unconventional) along with communication in squads, commander, tanks, aircraft, infantry, helicopters etc from proper developers, i'll be sticking to this for quite a while...

Baldur's Gate, definitely. The whole series if you see it as one giant game (which I sort of do). I kid you not when it took me four months of playing Baldur's Gate and nothing else to complete it, and I finished Baldur's Gate II after three months of playing it. It took me more than half a year to finish those games.

And then, after all that, you've got BGII's expansion pack, Throne of Bhaal, to play through. It's an absurdly long series.
I can second that. The replayability of the Baldur's Gate saga is immense. I played Baldur's Gate alone for 2 years, trying so many different race/class combinations along with different party compositions and romances, all by myself or in LAN.

I remember Dragon Quest 8 had like over 100 hours of gameplay. Did I do all of that? Short Answer: No.

I've heard of? Final Fantasy Online. Wasn't there a boss that took days for a guild to kill before being nerfed?
Yes the boss is called Absolute Virtue, who takes atleast 12 hours to beat. And added to that you must beat another boss just to face him! From what I heard only one guild (outside of FFXI developers) have beaten it legitimatly.

But yeah FFXI that game takes forever.
I think he's talking about the boss that they spent 3 days on, only to be defeated.
It was then nerfed so that it was much weaker, but if you spent more than three (or possibly one) hours on it you were booted out of the zone. No one defeated it before it was nerfed.

Mario 64.

So.

Many.

Stars.
This and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. I played that game back when I was...10? I think, back in the early 2000's, and I never ever beat it. I got to the Fire Temple after at least 2 years, maybe 3 of playing. I just wandered around, really. I was awful at figuring out games for myself. I'd like to get a copy and finish it now. I'm still working on getting all those damn coin stars in Mario, but I've lost my hat and that doesn't help.

900+ hours logged on GTA San Andreas.

900 divided by 24 is 37.5, so I've got over five weeks of solid gameplay on that game.

Well i been playing Runescape since 2001...God i must have 1000's of hours on that game, Oblivion i stocked up 250+ hours, Fallout i accumulated 40 hours in 4 days. and im now on my...120th hour (i think)

Guitar hero takes a while if your awful at it. And is a good party game.

failing that, Try picking up a guitar, it works when there is a power cut in your area :D
