Longest time spent on a single game

Concerning modern games, I'd say Gothic II (spent a year playing, didn't count how many hours), Outcast, which I played for as long as I could, I simply didn't want to finish that game and be done with it, and now Fallout 3; that one I'm still playing (I only got it last November), and I'm not even halfway through it.

If you count old-school games, I've probably played more Defender, Yar's Revenge and Video Pinball on the Atari 2600 and Super C, Code Name Viper and the first Simpsons game on the NES more than would be considered healthy...

I have 186 hours in X3 Reunion, which I haven't played since Terran Conflict came out, it's the one game that I can say without a doubt I've spent a lot of time on.

No idea how long, but the first Halo game, after that would be either StarTropics or the original Super Mario Bros.

OT: I'd have to say probably Oblivion for me as well.. Though I think it's only about 200+ hours.. Not 3000... How could you manage that? That would have to be the only game you play for like.. A year. I guess I should just commend you for it, as I love Oblivion too.

WoW, have quite for a few years now but spent over a month in played time, i no not much when compared to what some WoW ppl clock up but was still massive ammounts of time. apart from that a few hundred hours on ff7, several play troughs

Im what you call a final fantasy fanboy...so here goes....

FF7 has all the space on my mem card (about 12 saves) and each averages around 60 hours of play time.

FFX has 2 saves with about 100 hours each

FF12 has 3 saves that add to 267 hours.

SO, Final Fantasy has eaten up 1000+ hours of my young teen life...

Well, I just started my fifth, so 4th, and each time I spent about 37 hours in with 2 hours into my 5th.

I think I am addicted...It's a happy addiction!

The most amount of playtime I've gotten on a single game is 800 hours on Pokémon Silver. I was playing it for hours upon hours everyday. Second place goes to Pokémon Diamond (before I started a new game), I clocked in about 360 hours on that.
