Longest time spent playing a game?

i think my longest was playing socom 2. it was close to 70 hours, not counting restroom. i ate while playing. my paresnts went on a short trip for 3 days and came back and found me still on it, i wasnt able to play for a week. lol
When I bought Max Payne 2 I did not emerge into daylight again until it was finished...musta been about 8 hours. Apart from that I don't have much endurance unless I am playing with friends.

Although i asked myself how it is possible to play 72 hours without sleep. I just would fall of my chair after max 48 hours

It would be interesting if those of you spending more than 48 hours in a row could give a short condition-after report, loss of body functions and so on ^^.
My longest time gaming where in my early youth with Zelda III for about 8 hours and Final Fantasy 6 for 12 hours. Today I only spend that much time gaming multiplayer with friends, for example Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for 12 hours 2on2 with a multitap. That was lots of fun!
P.s.: PES 2008 is way better than FIFA !!! (Its important to mentioned that every time possible.

Four days straight playing Super Mario World. I was about twelve at the time, and we couldn't save the game because the battery had become disloged (or that's what my dad said). I wanted to see how it ended. Not only did I beat the game, but I beat all the special stages, too. Which was wierd, because after you do, everything looks like Mario. What kind of a reward is that?
So four days is about 96 hours, right...let's say 100, because I remember being almost finished and Dad coming up to me and saying, "Buddy, it's been four days. You done yet?"
On a completely unrelated note, I have twice stayed up for over a week. Don't ask; both of them are very long stories.

A friend has spent a combined total of 1500 hours on Ultima Online. Not back to back obviously; he'd be quite dead.
I reckon I've spent about 500 hours on the Baldur's Gate series. Worth it though. Consecutively, probably about 16 hours straight on Oblivion when I got FCOM working properly. Maybe about the same time on a Operation Flashpoint straight after I downloaded FDF.

Not sure how long, but if I were to type /played on WoW, I'd weep. Other than that, either Oblivion or the Guitar Hero games.

Personal Best...I'm not quite sure. I usually take a break for dinner/bathroom/breather. I think I played for more than 24 hours once...I think. Usually, I realize what time it is and promptly go to bed for a few hours. Maybe 36 hours?
6-8 hour gameplays are pretty common for me, though.

A good 20 hours on Final Fantasy: XI Online would be a good educated guess for me.
Every Saturday and Sunday for the 9 months I owned that game, 8am Saturday to 4am Sunday.
I still wish I had that game from time to time. But I knew that game had to go or I would have ended up like my WoW friend that literally doesn't do anything else other than work a 9-5 job then go home and play that for the rest of his time awake.
I wouldn't make this a competition. Playing games for as long as that can really destroy your life.
