Longest Time You've Played a Game

Oh god why :O I mean pick a decent game for that kind of game time

I'd picked it up for £7, had never played it before but loved the original. I had heard that it was apparently terrible but playing it co-op with my housemate actually made it quite fun. Obviously level 1-12 were fun, when the 13th level with the messed up supernatural boss came out we were disappointed. However the lead up to it we thoroughly enjoyed.

In my opinion the game doesn't deserve the praise it initially got from critics, but at the same time does not deserve the harsh criticisms that have been levied against it. Yes it wasn't Perfect Dark, but then again I don't think that it was trying to be PD. It would have worked better, and received less criticism if it was just a different name et al. We enjoyed it for the Timesplitter-esque approach to the game that it envoked, and we'd loved it.

(Oh yeah, that reminds me. We had also ran through Timesplitters: Future Perfect a few weeks ago in one night... but can't remember how long that took)

4 hours? that's like my daily average of COD4... the longest run I've had if you allow for switching games would have to be I think... 16 ish hours (was pissed off after coming back home from school), and after that I went to do my morning paper round ^^. Thief deadly shadows between 10pm and 6 am was especially fun in the complete dark, really gave the atmosphere for it.

48 hours trying to get through FFIX in one sitting with one save (didn't make, stupid flat dragon killed me att about 40 hours, and I could only replay for another 8 before I had to stop, relax in a game free zone for a few hours, and go to sleep.

Just glad I didn't try that on FFXII, 200 hours and I still don't have a ribbonm, WTF?

I usually divide my gaming sessions in short healthy doses of about a half to two hours, depending on wheter I've got a new game or not. Sometimes it's a little longer, but I very rarely get past four hours. My record must be when I beat Paper Mario in two days, I spent 10 hours on it on the first day.

My first play in Half-Life 2. I played until like 2 am, like 7 hours straight. I couldn't stop.
Then I started feeling tired and decided that Nova Prospekt would be a good place to stop, mostly because I don't like horror games and nothing kills the feeling of fear like playing a creepy part of a game in broad daylight.

The weekend I got my wisdom teeth out I beat Mass Effect completely one and a half times in a row. I was on Oxy-Codine, it's to this day one of my favorite gaming experiences ever.

I came so close to three days nonstop,give or take a few bathroom runs. I was playing many games like phantasy star universe, armored core, anything that I could get my hands on since i lost interest in a game about 4 hours into it. I think its the longest ive ever stayed up period. Gaming sleep overs are godawesome

My wife and I played Team Fortress 2 for around 12 hours in one sitting. We had CAL practice for 3 hours and then decided to play on our Clans ( [Spec-Ops]) Servers and lost track of time big time.

72 Hours of PSO Episode 1 + 2 without a break ( except for an occasional pee break ). I leveled up quite a lot in that time and I found some very nifty items. I was completely exhausted after that marathon. Those were the days...!

The longest streak I've had would be around 27 hours on Rise of Nations Gold Edition, beating the Cold War Campaign on hardest difficulty.

I once played 14 hours (with little breaks) of GTA San Andreas which is just pathetic compared to my friends longest amount of gaming without taking long breaks. He played 127 hours of Counter Strike. I found him the next day sleeping on his keyboard.

Hmm... that would honestly have to be playing Pokemon Blue as but a wii little kid for every waking hour as my parents did.. something... I don't recall, but I DO remember that I had a kickass Blastoise.

Otherwise... something like 8 hours playing Bioshock (on release day ) and Brawl (again on release day >.>) for six hours before I finally died.

Longest PLAY time would be a combined 350 hours on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... GOD I love that game...

About 8 hrs on RPGs like StarWars:Knights of the Old Republic (got seriously addicted to that 1), Oblivion and Fallout 3. Think i've played for longer but can't remember for sure. It usually feels like something is trying to gnaw its way out of my skull and my eyeballs have been dipped in oil.

My longest would probably have to be about 44 hours, interrupted by 4 30-hour food breaks though, and constantly changing games.

It was at a public LAn with my friends.. and well... I just kept playing. It started at 4 PM Friday afternoon and went on 'til Sunday same time. I was playing from when I got there to about noontime Sunday. At the wee hours of Sunday morning only me and two other guys were still awake, and we played about 300 rounds of iceworld in CS 1.6. Those were the days.
