I'd picked it up for £7, had never played it before but loved the original. I had heard that it was apparently terrible but playing it co-op with my housemate actually made it quite fun. Obviously level 1-12 were fun, when the 13th level with the messed up supernatural boss came out we were disappointed. However the lead up to it we thoroughly enjoyed.RavingLibDem said:Oh god why :O I mean pick a decent game for that kind of game time![]()
In my opinion the game doesn't deserve the praise it initially got from critics, but at the same time does not deserve the harsh criticisms that have been levied against it. Yes it wasn't Perfect Dark, but then again I don't think that it was trying to be PD. It would have worked better, and received less criticism if it was just a different name et al. We enjoyed it for the Timesplitter-esque approach to the game that it envoked, and we'd loved it.
(Oh yeah, that reminds me. We had also ran through Timesplitters: Future Perfect a few weeks ago in one night... but can't remember how long that took)
