Half a day. When I was in Journalism school I often skipped lunch and didn't eat any snacks. I usually had one sandwich for breakfast and only got something to eat again around diner time. I usually felt, around mid-afternoon, like I was about to faint. Biking home without any energy was always awful.

I know, not even nearly as dramatic as some othe folks in this thread, but what can I say, I friggin' love food. At least it made me drop some proper weight.

There was a guy who hasn't eaten (and therefore, hasn't pooped) in 11 years. He's been on a drip the entire time.

Last year I had severe glandular fever and couldn't eat for 11 days. Instead I was only able to drink water infused with protein powder and, strangely, is could drink eggnog through a straw (chocolate milk almost killed my throat but Eggnog was ok). I lost a good 10 kgs and was very weak for many months afterwards.

I remember nearly being driven insane by the smell of baking bread.
Aww dude. I gotta admit. I would have been a right **** and fried some onions and bacon around you just to make you snap. XD
The sad thing is, I would have tried kicking your ass for that, but I probably would've been too weak to accomplish it at that stage. ^^°

Does hospital "visits" count?
Because if so I have a streak of two weeks. When I was twelve I fell and damaged my neck and head pretty severely. Needless to say, I was unconscious. I don't remember much of my life before that injury really, only fragments, and I have troubles collecting my thoughts.
But I do remember feeling really starved when I regained consciousness and came out of the the worst of the morphine haze..

About a day and a half, I was travelling and didn't really bother to stop at any point.

Also, unless there's a good reason (like illness), anyone who forgoes eating, which should be a part of everybody's daily life, is a fucking idiot.

Don't do it on a bet, don't do it on a hunger strike, don't do it because you're stoned. You're an idiot, now sit down and have a sandwich.

I have little respect for people who voluntarily neglect their own wellbeing.

Well, I used to do "some" fasting twice every year since I was 16.

No eating, drinking only water and tea, and every 4 days a half liter of vegetable broth(without the veggies, just the broth) and a glass of milk.

I usually do 2-3 weeks, but the longest I've gone is 7 1/2 weeks(53 days to be exact).
But I think I could have gone on for quite a while.

According to my doctor I had almost none sings of any lack in my metabolism.

And if you take a look at some indian sadhus you can do it for very, VERY, long...

Thirty hours. A few years ago, I did 'the Thirty Hour Famine' with some people from my church. It sounds weird, but it's to raise awareness for world hunger. People sponsor you through the event, and the money goes to help set up farms in third world countries to help people be self sufficient.

I've done a couple of 24 hours fasts for charity although, I have to admit, for one of them I did have some crisps.
It's the money that counts, right?
