Recently I mean, so that the answer isn't just "when I was a baby to when I first started playing"

I often go months without playing any games, so I found it peculiar when I was talking to a friend and he was saying how he couldn't wait to play his new game and "Dude, I haven't played video games in like a week."

If it weren't for the fact that I knew this guy had the self-control to put down the controller for work and school I'd say he was an addict lol

What's the longest you can think of, why was that and are you actually ok with not playing video games so frequently?

About two to three weeks, around about this time last year. Had no new games, plus I had finished all of the games I owned at the time so...yeah.

So replay them!

OT: About a week every summer from when I was 11 to when I was 18. I was at Boy Scout camp.

I used to always smuggle my Gameboy with me to summer camp when I was in scouts lol

Even if I never actually played it, it was comforting to know it was there.

I go weeks/months at a time without gaming, then when I get into a single game I play it a lot, then I have a break until the next amazing game that keeps me occupied comes along...

But when I am playing a game I am a complete addict

It's been 4 days since I last played a game and I'm starting to get the shakes...

Last year I went on a stag do in Scotland, 3 days in the woods in a Saxon round house. Normally I don't go without games for 24hrs.

About a month. I can't recall why. It was about a year ago.

I spent most of the time wandering around the veranda in circles, talking to myself. Literally hours, several consecutive hours, walking in a circle on my veranda, having half-silent, half-animated conversations with myself. Not in a crazy way, just in a 'stuff can make less sense when you say it out loud' kind of way.

It was maddening, because I slowly became aware of every squeak and imperfection on the floor. I had to move the rug and start wearing socks, because the feeling on my feet annoyed me so much. Every time I stood on a squeaky floorboard, I would lose my concentration. Most frustrating.

two and a half weeks. I was out of the hemisphere and had no access to my games.

Once when I was a teenager I didn't play video games for like two months to make my dad shut the hell up.

A little over a month when my parents and I visited the UK and France a few years ago.

Seeing as how we spent most of our time checking out the sights and meeting various locals, I can't really say I missed it.
