Looking for a CERTAIN Batman story that may not exist.

After talking to a friend of mine about various Batman canons I seemed to remember something, that may or may not be real.

Was there a storyline where the Batman was accused of inventing the Joker himself and staging all of the Jokers crimes? I seem to have the idea in my head that at some point the Joker claims just to be an actor or something the Batman hired.

So... am I nuts?

There's one I know of where Alfred was the Joker because he felt sorry for Bruce since he was a child. Seems like it's a fairly close idea, but they might be different stories.

Reminds me of Sherlock where Moriarty does exactly that and claims to be an actor but not sure about it happening in Batman I'm afraid.
