pretty much anything Terry Pratchett has wrote, even the kids books (the wee free men,hat full of sky etc.) or the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks,
personally my favourite books are the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, the best fantasy epic i've ever read,i've recommended it to a couple of friends and they all love it too.

Dune, Dune and more dune. Such an interesting read, and a difficult one too. Try the Sword of Truth series if you want less sci fi and more mythical. Lord of the Rings for nostalgia mode. First person to say twilight gets murdered.

EDIT

creeeeeeepy. Another Sword of Truth fan with a post like mine.

DOUBLE EDIT.

Dune is really slow to get into but one of the most captivating reads. And any pre-bandwagon Dan Brown books are good

TRIPLE EDIT (which i guess is better than a double post)

House of Leaves, as previously mentioned, will fuck your mind

Ok, so i have this job where i can read alot. Book a week kinda thing. So just wondering if anyone on here would be able to let me know of any books they think are worth the read, if so please post, i would be ever so greatful!
Are there any particular genres you like? My advice is that you should not bother with going through "top 100 books to read before you die" lists or anything like that to find which books you should read. They may recommend good books, but you are not garanteed to like all of them. You are best off reading around to try and find a specific style or genre (like sci-fi/romance/historical fiction/non-fiction) etc. and then just enjoying works within the genres you like the most. We could just list various texts till doomsday for you, but that will be of no use. You're better off reading stuff at random/borrowing books from a library or a friend and deciding that way. Not everyone enjoys reading anyway - you might find that you can't be bothered.

In my opinion, the best book series that was ever written was the "Sword of Truth" series by Terry Goodkind. Absolutely amazing, 11 books and a prequel. very relevant and powerful themes, and the most captivating story I have ever read.

I love you.

I Am Legend is pretty good, just try and find one without the movie cover. Gosh, I hate movie covers....

Anything in the Forgotten Realms series by R.A. Salvatore if your lookin' for a fantasy epic.
