Looking for a good Sniping game

anyone able to help out? I wasted 30$ on men of war because of the sniper demo only to find out that's not how the game works... so if anyone could tell me of a good Just sniping game (if on exists) let me know. Not online though

Apart from the old "Silent Scope" games I can't think of any that are mainly sniper based.

'Operation Flashpoint' was a good game for sniping. Especially as you can make your own missions.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great sniping game.

The Battlefield games are kind of good.

Halo is really good for sniping, so is COD4, but I think Gears Of War 2 takes the cake.
Although none of these games are strictly sniping, they all have great sniping.

The old PC game Project IGI was good for sniping. Any mission where you start with the Dragunov you didn't need to worry about enemies. You just picked off an entire base on approach and then walk around like you own the place.
I don't think the game was intended to be played that way, of course.

Silent scope is the only one that comes to mind.

Problem is a lot of games have snipers in, but don't have the sniping experience. Some even try to handle it in the 3rd person and that's just a plain bad idea...

A sniping game, not a game with sniping. I don't care about those titles at all when it comes to this. I use to be an Ace sniper in the game enemy territory. I miss it, and doing just that. so I'm looking for a game that's sniper only

No game is really sniping. At. All. There is no field craft, concealment, movement, or shot placement. Just a gun that has a billion times zoom and open maps. Closest is America's Army. Well sniper elite too.

Well, someone beat me to it. This. Definitely this.

There are other weapons, as without them you'd be killed if you were spotted, but get good enough and you'll be using snipers only. It's not the best game out there, but if you love snipers like me, you'll really enjoy it.

That's not a good sniping game - that's just bad design.
Also, IGI sucks anyways - in every way I can think of...

If you want to do some "serious" sniping stay clear of hitscan type games [GoW, CoD and pretty much all new games...]. Good games using projectile model are: BF2, Delta Force: Land Warrior, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
