Looking for a new game

Hey guys,
so, as said, I'm looking for a new game to play.

I'm a huge fan of good RPGs, such as Mass Effect 1 & 2, Jade Empire, KOTOR.. Played Bioshock & Fallout 3, Fable and such the likes.

But, looking for something on par with these games. Anything you can recommend? I keep reading about Final Fantasy.. what's that like?

Being an RPG fanatic myself I can recommend some good games, but I don't want to recommend some games that you can't try.

EDIT: Also what ^HE^ said. I can't recommend Chrono Trigger enough. Chrono Cross, on the other hand, will get you either glares from people who hate it or standing ovations from those who love it.

@Darkstorm091, I play mainly on the Xbox 360, but also have a decent enough gaming PC if need comes to that. As for PS3, that's a no-go for me. But recommend what you will, I'll look into anything really. My bro has a PS3 if the needs arises to that.

If you can be arsed get an XBox(the 1st one) then put some emulators on it
suck as Snes.Then you can play Earthbound which is truely my favorite game

No worries, you'll find your way around these parts in no time.

Also have to agree with Deus Ex, but if you are mainly playing on the XBOX and looking for RPG's you played most of the ones I can think of.
You can always emulate Chrono Trigger or any such great RPG of it's time on your PC, but I can't recommend Chrono Trigger enough, as someone above once said.
It's my favourite RPG. Earthbound is a good pick too.


Oooh, on second thought, you may like Castlevania : Symphony of the Night for XBLA, but it's more Super Metroid RPG fusion.

Psychonauts, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario series, Megaman Legends, Oblivion,FF7 is my favorite final fantasy game

I'd highly recommend Lost Odyssey on the 360. It's made by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of FF-1 (I think) 10. After he left Square-Enix of course. Blue Dragon seems to be a love or hate type game, though I've never played it.

Although I do not personally own an Xbox 360, I have heard many great things about Lost Odyssey from other RPG friends of mine.
Also, the music is by Nubuo Uematsu. That's pure win right there.

On the non-Xbox front I will recommend the following:
SNES: Lufia II, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound (Mother II), Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 4 (2 US), Final Fantasy 6 (3 US) and if you are willing to Emulator and Translator Patch it up Live A Live.
GBA: Golden Sun I & II, Mother 3 is you are willing to Emulator and Translator Patch, Final Fantasy 5 Advance.
PS1: Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9, Chrono Cross (Hit or Miss, but you will LOVE the music).
The Final fantasy games will require a bit of level grinding, but if you can get past that the stories are all A+, especially Final Fantasy 6's. A lot of these may require Emulators, which I'm sorry for, but I'm an Old School RPG Guy so that's where my experience truly lies.

try Dragon Age: Origins, by the same people as ME and Jade Empire and KOTOR, there is a reason why you like all of these btw.

otherwise if your an RTS guy I'd suggest Company of Heroes you can prolly pick a copy of the game plus xpacks for like 40 bucks somewhere, another one I like is anno 1404: dawn of discovery. There are many more just let me know if you want more.

If you want MY opinion then Aliens vs Predator.
Dragonage is a good choice too.

If you can get it for cheap, I'd reccomend Mount & Blade. (although its a marmite type game as it has bad graphics, and a weak plot)

Its kinda like Sid Meiers Pirates, except you get to duke it out, but it does have light RPG elements, and has lots of mods.

Plus when the Warband expansion comes out next month, it will add multiplayer, (which is really fun btw, (I got the beta) as you can get about 40,50,60 people on a map duking it out in a giant battle).

Oh and the game has horses, that you can fight on, (though its kinda hard to get used to).

System specs for the game are quite low though, so a brilliant pc isn't needed to play neither.

Morrowind is the one you are looking for sir lost hours of my life to that game lol

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and Dragon Age are good ones. Lots of talking though.
And Oblivion of course.

Final Fantasy has one of those horrible turn-based fighting systems... I hate those.

any of the Fallout games are good, but Fallout 3 has a far darker tone than the rest.

I recomend Fallout New Vegas with all the DLC and choosing the Wild Wasteland character trait. Some brilliant stuff there.

also, Left 4 Dead 2 is great if you're a fan of zombies, along with Dead Rising 2 (I haven't played 1, but it looks good).

There are a ton and a half games out there, just try games that may catch your eye
or the games that other users have listed above
