Well I've run the course of most of my single player experience games. Wondering what the community would suggest next. Don't bother naming any recent AAA titles I've either played it or decided that I wouldn't. Suggestions for PC or Xbox 360 would be welcome, looking for anything lengthy. My gaming rig for my PC isn't that powerful so i tend to avoid the very graphic intense titles. Was considering Metro 2033, but all the videos and reviews leave me in the middle of whether to shell out $20 for it. You guys can weigh in on that too.

So Xbox 360/PC games, suggestions?

I can recommend Metro. It is one of the most amazing games I have ever played.

If you can get over a few small annoyances. You should enjoy it thoroughly.

Well it would be nice if you could give us some idea of what you like. Otherwise we'd all be recommending "Captain Frillyhammers Rocket To The Moon" when you dont even like Sports games.

You can't really go wrong with Metro 2033 for 20 bucks. If you've hit most of the mainstream stuff. Have you tried taking a close look at indie releases?

Check out Space Pirates and Zombies. It won't win any awards, but its cheap and kept me hooked for a good day or two. I will defeat those zombies this weekend I reckon.

Going back to an old set - I love the x-com series. Graphics are terrible by any standard but I love the gameplay. Dead cheap on steam.

On the puzzle side I got addicted to spacechem for a while, again nice and cheap.

To be honest, just hop on steam and surf the cheap indie games. They aren't on the same level as the AAA titles, but lots come in under £10 and I say they are much much better value for money.

I know you said no AAA titles but a lot of my mates dont play the stuff I'm naming here and are usually suprised as to how good they are. Also like the post above just look around steam :).

I love the Mass effect series. If you've not played them it may be worth it but start with the first game because there's a really engrossing and fun story. (the second game has better fighting/mechanics but its worth playing the first). Also Dragon age is fun but its for RPG fans really.

On the 360 if you've not played the first Crackdown its worth getting (especially coz 2nd hand its less than £5) I've spent hours on it jumping around smashing stuff. Prototype is similar but darker and more powers, I didn't enjoy it as much when it came down to enjoyment levels though.

Oblivion worth a look if you haven't played it. Once again very engrossing and works well on the 360.

Obviously I'm into RPG stuff. Even if your not into RPGs certainly Mass Effect 2 and Oblivion are worth looking into.

Hope that helped some!

Eh, I don't know if it's your sort of game, but ...

I recently clocked some 400 hours in Mount & Blade: Warband ...
