Try Alpha Protocol, if you have a tolerance for bugs then I would give it a shot, its one of my favorite games ever, especially if you like playing the part of the rogue or going for the pacifist route. The plot and characters are very well done as well.

Blood Money. Times a million. The level in the 'burbs is still one of the funnest levels i've ever played in any game ever.

well, hitman blood money has a strange take on stealth, in that it's more realistic than most others. in splinter cell when in the shade you're practicly invisible but in blood money it's more distracting people away from you and slipping past.

although, blood money is one of my favorite games of all time, i post this message while i'm in the middle of replaying it for the umpteenth time.

Escape From Butcher Bay was great
Thief: Deadly Shadows (I think it's on console)
Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker are getting HD updates for modern consoles, and 3 is a brilliant game.
Blood Money is also pretty good, one of the better Hitman games.

The level with the tree house and the pool guy? That level was just fantastic.

That's the one. I had hours of fun popping off the silly guards while in the treehouse.

I just beat AC2 and I was really dissapointed with stealth factor.
AC: Brotherhood improves the stealth gameplay a LOT. A good half of the missions are MANDATORY stealth missions (as in, if you get detected, you immediately desync and load from a checkpoint). Some even have optional side objectives that have even HARDER stealth challenges. (like in one mission, you have to infiltrate a town stealthily, and the "full sync" challenge asks you to do so, WITHOUT KILLING any guard. So you have to rely entirely on stealth and movement.) It's more fun to do these missions.

If you liked the story of AC2, you could give it a second chance?
