Looking for action/crime drama anime or manga

i know it isnt crime drama as such, but Ghost Hunt kinda behaves like a whodunnit with stories set out over several episodes. its only a 13 episode season as well so you can be done with it quick enough. the dub isnt too bad either and is recommended as there is a lot of dialogue involved in some bits.

If you haven't checked it out yet, you might want to give Bubblegum Crisis (don't let the name throw you off) and A.D. Police a try, the former being more of a game of international intrigue involving high-grade military technology gone out of control while the latter is about police officers who deal with androids and gynoids not in compliance with the law (illegal mods, recycling broken down sexaroids with mental instabilities and the like).

If you haven't checked it out yet, you might want to give Bubblegum Crisis (don't let the name throw you off).

Also it's spiritual sequel Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 isn't too bad either for more or less the same stuff, it's a little more recent to boot.
