Hello mate.ReservoirAngel said:Yes, it's another anime thread. Sorry, just ignore if you want to.
I've recently been recommended to start watching anime. And... well I don't have much else to occupy my time with nowadays so I decided to give it a shot.
A friend of mine told me I should check out Bleach. So I did and so far I'm actually very much enjoying it (bear in mind I'm not even 10 episodes yet) but I feel I'm gonna need something else for when the thing eventually ends, or for when I get bored of it and wander off.
I've been given recommendations for Death Note and Reborn! but I'm not too sure about those ones as it stands.
So does anyone here know of any other anime stuff that I might potentially be interested in watching? Or just any good stuff in general?
Here are some nice animes -
1. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R1 (&R2)- great anime, action packed and yet it doesn't have the feeling DBZ had, 'Are they STILL is Namek?' type of feel. It's very fast, twists occur constantly and it carries plenty of good secondary characters.
2. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 - If you're sick and tired of shoenen anime with a twat for a main protagonist that gathers villains as friends and then uses them to defeat the evil mastermind... then this is for you. A drama of what would occur if a 8.0 earthquake busted up Tokyo. The end is like taking a nutcase and crushing your hopes dreams and whatever is left of your childhood. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
3. Black lagoon - Because Tarantino style looks great in any media, including anime.
4. The world God only knows - for your comedy needs, the show that crushes every single cliche and uses it to its advantage to make you laugh.
5. Samurai Champloo - Great anime by the creators of 'Cowboy Bebop', the base of the anime of Pop culture. I'm serious, Medieval age Japan, pop culture, samurai fighting scenes, lots of sex references and great comedy. All hail this show.
