I've been thinking about this for a while and kinda figured this would be the best place to ask. I seem to have loved every game that had something twisted about it (with a healthy dose of humor added), so I wanna see if there's any I've missed. Examples (that I've already played) follow:

Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Anachronox (quite likely one of my favorite games of all time)
Psychonauts
Sacrifice
Planescape: Torment (not overly humorous, but definitely twisted)

That's all I can think of right now, though more will probably occur to me later. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I'm not averse to anything, though strategy games don't sit too well with me. Everything else is fair game (no pun intended).

Played pretty much all of them. Hilarious and fun, yes (the older ones, Magna Cum Laude sucked its middle name), twisted, not quite.

Also, I failed to mention Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 3, shame on me. Dead people and rhyming pirates FTW.

Portal would probably fit in here, though you've likely played that. There's a game from a bit ago called voodoo vince that is most definitely twisted (you play a voodoo doll and the best way to kill enemies is to find ever more ingenious ways to top yourself.) I played it for the xbox, not sure if it exists for PC.

Yeah, I have played Portal. Looked up Voodoo Vince on wikipedia, looks great, but no mention of a PC version, unfortunately.

Gitaroo Man on the PS2 or Gitaroo Man Lives! on the PSP. The story in those games is just as daft as it gets.

Dungeon Keeper 2 on the PC has a great twisted sense of humour as well, like Theme Park with killing.

Fallout 1 and 2!

Although if you haven't played these you need to be dragged out back and shot.

Oooh, Crusader No Remorse! I remember playing that on a 486 about 14-15 years back.

Fallout 2 I've played, never quite managed to get my hands on 1.

I'll take a look at the PC ones you guys listed. Thanks a bunch.

As far as I can tell, Overlord's pretty demented. I've only played the demo, but the game itself is down to budget price now and any game that has raspy voiced little goblins telling you to exercise your evil has its own merits. "Oooh, he's awake! Quick, pour acid in his eyes, frechen him up!"

I can also recommend Worms 4, if for nothing else then for the worm outfits (Nazi helmet? Check. 50's sunglasses? Check. Skeletal hands and Fu-manchu? also check.), speech, and general bizzarity.

If you can find it I'd recommend a PC title by the name of 'Toxic Bunny', I played this years ago after picking up a copy at my local 'PC World'. It involves a psychotic caffeine addicted rabbit seeking revenge on his alien(I think?) overlords for taking away all the coffee machines. I unfortunately lost the disk and have never even been able to find a mention of it anywhere, let alone an actual copy.

Edit: After posting this a quick Google search turned up some results that had somehow slipped past before, how odd.

I'd like to point out that Ur-Quan Masters isn't abandonware (since that's technically illegal); rather, Toys For Bob (the company that originally made the game) released the source code for the 3D0 version; UQM is a project to port that to modern computers.

An additional game I just recently discovered: Out of Order is a fun and somewhat demented point-and-click adventure game about a situation I think will probably happen at some point in the future.

Also Defcon is pretty twisted in an abstract way, as can probably be ascertained from its URL. For me, it was only after about half an hour into the demo that I realized I'd just nuked a major world city.

Pokemon. I mean, seriously. You can have your pokemon -kill- themselves. Not to mention the fact that its pretty much cockfighting. If you have an imagination, you will prolly petition for it to be rated M.

Probably the best H.P.Lovecraft interpretation to date.

without reading any of the posts, I'd suggest postal, it is quite a retarded and fun loving game ^-^
EDIT: Anyone notice how Postal is one short of an r ?
Both are very strange and retarded which makes everything twice as fun! :D
