Persona 3: FES
Persona 4
Odin Sphere
Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2

...That's all that comes to mind at the moment. They're all PS2 games.

for the PC - it's 6 or 7 years old so any fairly recent PC should play - one of the best RTS games made - Company of Heroes! Tales of Valor is the version I play, I'm not good at it but always enjoy it

I've been trying to get hold of Psychonauts for the PS2 for a little while now and I've just missed the last copy in any local GameStop twice now. First time a little girl beat me to it by a day. The second time I missed it by five fucking minutes.

Mega Man X Collection for the PS2. Go out and get it, then profess your undying admiration later.

Resident Evil 4-PS2, XBLA

the Metal Gear Solid series (4 is for the PS3 although I personally couldn't stand it). You may have trouble finding a decent copy of the first one although the rest (barring Portable Ops) can be gotten for the PS2 or in the Xbox 360 HD pack. I would recommend The Twin Snakes remake on Gamecube in order to play through the first one but it looks like that may not be possible according to your OP.

Well, I was going to add Okami, since I just finished playing the Wii version of it, but it looks like you have it already on your list. Seriously, that game was so awesome it kinda ruined playing other games for a while. I had to fall back on Morrowind (my top favorite game ever) just to find something worthy of my time.

If you can manage, play the PC version of Morrowind (it's on your list too). It should run on literally anything, so whatever PC you're using to post should be good enough. You might need the Morrowind FPS optimizer, since I know my friend needed it for playing on his crappy, but somewhat current laptop.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2): Awesome and truely unique platformer.

Hitman Series (PS2/Blood Money is for 360): Think splinter-cell except a bit silly.

The PS2 Platformer Trio: Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter.

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (PS2): Fun, Fun, Fun!

Dark Cloud 2 (PS2): RPG Dungeon crawler with a city building mechanic. Neat!

Final Fantasty XII (PS2): I liked it, it felt different in comparison to other Final Fantasies.

Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (PS2): Just a PS2 port of the original Deus Ex.

God of War 1&2 (PS2): Hack-n-slash murder fest.

Mega man X8 (PS2): Mega Man to the 8th power!

GTA Collection (PS2): It's grand theft auto, what else do you expect?

Timesplitters: Future Perfect (PS2): One of the best FPS games in recent memory. Complete with an easy to use mapmaker and kick-ass multiplayer. Did I mention there is robotic cat racing?

Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, Re: Chain of Memories (PS2): Disney and Final Fantasy characters in one big orgasm of friendship and all that good stuff. One of the best JRPG's on the PS2.

Seriously, man, get Persona 3 & 4 if you like JRPGs. I can not recommend them enough.

Final Fantasy VIII IX - PS1
Just needed to fix a slight typographical error I noticed in the list.

Also for the PS2 I recommend the Ratchet & Clank games and the Sly Cooper games, and the Spyro games on the PS1.

Do NOT get the Spyro games for the PS2. They were made by another developer, and it really shows through.
Ah thanks for changing that for :p Was that the one that was online? Or am I thinking of XI?
XI was the online one, IX took things back to specialized characters, a more lighthearted look to the series, and my favorite chocobo sidequest.

Also, I forgot to add the Megaman Legends series, which is one, two, and Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Really fun games, I had a blast with them, especially Misadventures.

All I can think of is Kingdom hearts 1 & 2 for the ps2. Some people would think its a kids game because of the disney characters but..... but... yeah I dont have a rebuttal for that.

That's ok, Macs do what they are made to do just fine. I bet there are workarounds for Morrowind, but yeah, you probably should look to upgrading to a Windows based PC if you consider yourself a gamer. Consoles are great for what they do, but using a PC starts to become a little euphoric after a while because they don't treat you like an idiot. It's why we are such elitists all the time.

I really wouldn't recommend playing Morrowind without the in-game console. Just tonight I had to "hack" my way through a few bugs using it. NPCs love to wander around, and sometimes this means you can't pick up items they are standing on, or they fall from their perch where you need to talk to them.

The other game I suggested was Okami, and I think in 61 hours of playing, I saw one tiny bug that did nothing other than make me smirk. It has to be one of the most enjoyable and flawless games ever made.

Noone said Baldurs gate?! I'm so fucking disappointed with you Escapist.

GET IT, PLAY IT, LOVE IT!

EDIT: More epic PC games:

Dawn of War (get expansions too, dark crusade is best! :3)
Diablo II
Rome: Total war (It's the best of the TW games)
Company of Heroes (+ Expansions)
Mount and blade: Warband
S.T.A.L.K.E.R (Shadow of Chernobyl is apparantly the best, I own it but havn'r got round to it yet)

And I can recommend the F2P MMORPG 'Fallen Earth' to anyone, it's EPIC!

I've checked out the site and I agree there are a lot of great games to be found there. Sadly, I lack a running PC to play them. But I shall keep it in mind for when I do!
If you can surf the internet you can play most of the games available on that site, at least the 2D games like Heroes 3, Planescape Torment, Duke Nukem "3D" and Settlers 2. And I doubt you will have any problem even with the old 3d games either like Interstate '76, Thief or Deus Ex since most shitty computers and laptops sold today and for the last 5 years or so still often have a good enough graphic card for such old games. You can always test and see if you can play http://www.quakelive.com/#!home, if so you can definitely play all games available on gog.com, well expect perhaps The Witcher 1 & 2 that is ;).

That mentality of PC gamers always seemed a little silly to me. I never understood how not playing on the PC made me less of a gamer, as if my personal enjoyment of my hobby was lessened without it. Sure I do miss out on some quality games, especially older ones, but I'm still able to enjoy playing games just fine at the moment without one. Eh, to each they're own I guess.

In they're defense it's kind of one of those games that most people have at least heard about and know they should probably give a try at some point. That's why a bunch of other games like Kingdom Hearts, Timesplitters, GTA, and a few others don't appear up there because I've known about those and been able to find copies of them.

Sadly I looked and all of those games say they are only compatible with Windows, which I don't have :(

I noticed you don't have final fantasy 9. That one is really, really good. Beware the card game tetra master though. It makes no sense at all and is vastly inferior to triple triad from final fantasy 8. Otherwise it's a magnificent game. It was for ps1 but it will run on your ps2 as well.

Also, I feel compelled to recommend the Disciples series (PC) any time any one of these kinds of threads comes up. Disciples is a dark/gothic fantasy turn based strategy game with the best art design you will ever find. They came out a looooooong time ago so your PC will most certainly run it and gog has them for 5 or 10 bucks. Go buy them.
