Hello,

I'm looking for any available writing positions for online video game websites. I have a huge passion for everything to do with video games, and I hope to eventually make a career out of the journalism aspect of things. I have some experience in writing articles and I also have a degree in English Literature. I am interested in writing any type of article be it reviews, previews, news etc.

Anyway, I will keep this post short and sweet and if anyone is interested they can contact me via PM here or through my email address: spittingvenom117@gmail.com. I will be able to provide them with a more formal and detailed application along with my previous articles.

Thanks,
Sam

If you're interested in writing for an amateur outfit, me and some other people recently released the first issue of Haywire Magazine [http://bit.ly/NEhn6E]. Feel free to take a look, and contact our editor DeadpanLunatic on the site or email deadpanlunatic@gmail.com if you'd like to pitch anything or be added to our mailing list.

It's a bimonthly thing, so news especially isn't what we cover. So far, our focus seems to be more on features, with a few "regular" (I'll remove airquotes once we've had more than one issue :p) columnists.

Also, we have multiple English Literature students including me! So we're the best. Honest. And don't let that job market tell you otherwise.

Despite the comments on the site itself being all contributors, we have had actual reactions! See here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.387054-Professional-Amateurism-Haywire-Magazine] for responses from this forum. We're new, so we don't have anything as fancy as an established readership or anything, but we do have a lot of writing hobbyists involved so it's a good way to get feedback and see your work in print. If you're vain enough to print the pdf out. ;)
