Looking for Multiplayer Games Comptetive and Cooprative

So far on the list is Injustice, Call of Duty: Ghost and Battlefield 4.
L4D2 and Borderlands 2 are already played and we want something new.
What would you recomend of those three and what else would you suggest?

Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is great for friends. It's the perfect example of co-op online, since everyone gets the same amount of money and exp at the end of the match. Gold and Platinum also get very challenging.

Primal Carnage is a fun comptetive online shooter. Two sides, dinosaur and human, and each has 5 classes with different play styles. The maps are really awesome as well.

Console hotseat I'm guessing?

Mortal Kombat 9 is a good fighting game... Got tag team mode for a 2v2 game too.

Halo series are also good. Heck, they are my favorite FPS games. Specifically, Halo Reach and the original Halo are my favorites to play multiplayer in. Or get Halo Reach and the Halo Anniversary Map Pack with it for a mix of the two, like I do! (Set up it up with classic weapons only and all then you are basically play classic Halo on Halo Reach). Note: Xbox 360 though.

Minecraft on the console is also fun. More fun than the PC version, if you ask me. (PC version is more for singleplayer or online. Not for hotseat multiplayer).

Unreal Tournament is also good to look into!
