I recently re-purchased a PS2. I bought one years ago when Shadow of the Colossus came out. I played the living hell out of it, but once I accomplished absolutely everything in the game, I ended up selling it to a friend. I re-purchased one recently and am enjoying it but looking for good games to play on it.

Games I have played and enjoyed:

Shadow of the Colossus
ICO
Beyond Good and Evil
Okami
God Of War
God Of War II
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trilogy
Shadow of Rome
Odin Sphere
Zone of the Enders
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Sly Cooper 1-3
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal

I have also ordered Rogue Galaxy and look forward to playing that.

so yeah, anything similar to these games would be appreciated.

Quite a variety there, but it seems most of them are largely action-based so I'll go with a couple of my favourite somewhat lesser-known games for the system.

I'd recommend the Yakuza games. They're a little rough around the edges but they're fun and engrossing. They both have fairly compelling narratives (though the second can be a little cutscene-heavy) and the combat is simplistic but viscerally fun (much better in the second, imo). They're much better than the sum of their parts and ended up being amongst my favourite last-gen games. They're still pretty nice to look at in places, too, so there's that!

Oh and get Psi-Ops... it's a dumb, fun game that gives you telekinesis and other such fun powers to throw faceless goons around like ragdolls. A fair few people really like the story, but I didn't get into it, I just like making people's heads explode. Destroy All Humans is similar but in a series of sandboxes. It is awesome and hilarious.

Going from the list you've given, I'd see about getting a copy of Metal Gear Solid 1 and a PS1 memory card if you don't have/haven't played it yet. It's as much worth playing as the PS2 sequels, and it makes them a bit less confusing. Zone of the Enders 2 is a good bet, too, although good luck finding it from someone other than one of the scalpers on E-bay. If you can find it in a Gamestop, it'll set you back $20. If you find it on E-bay, it'll be more like $200.

I see you like one of the Ratchet and Clank games, so maybe the rest of them and/or the Jak and Daxter series would be up your ally. Sly Cooper fit's in with those, too. Maybe Rayman 2 if those aren't enough platformers for you.

Dark Cloud I and II might fit in with your action adventure games; they're somewhere between a Zelda game and a Secret of Mana game in terms of style.

Maybe Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven if you want more stealth games, although that's stretching.

And at this point I've kind of run dry on things that are similar to what's on your list. I can think of lots of other great games, but not ones similar to what you listed.

If you are interested in Rogue Galaxy I'd have to recommend Dark Cloud 2. Level 5 is a great developer. It has a city building mechanic mixed with action rpg dungeon crawling. I'm actually on the fence of whether I prefer it or RG.

For RPGs (going off Rogue Galaxy), Persona 3 and 4 (especially 4) are fantastic, also there is Dragon Quest VIII, SMT: Nocturne, Tales of the Abyss, Shadow Hearts, Grandia 3, Disgaea, and the Xenosagas.

For other good stuff, the Hulk game (Ultimate Destruction? It's surprisingly awesome), Resident Evil 4, Psychonauts, Gladius, and...yeah, there are plenty of good games to play

Well it looks like someone already ninja'd me to 'Rachet and Clank' and 'Jak and Daxter'. in my opinion the 2 and 3 in the series's respectively were the best.

Indeed.

I'm not even joking when I say that Persona 4 is perfection personified. (Make the obvious Personafied joke and I will be very disappointed in you)

Timesplitters 2/Future Perfect - the best FPS games to ever grace a console.
This. This so hard. I'd say Timesplitters is the best FPS series ever created (hell, it's my favorite series ever).

I also recommend the Jak and Daxter series.

And God Hand.

This is actually relatively easy to find. Check your local Gamestop's 4.99 and under bin. I got a disc only copy for $1.99 a couple weeks back.

Wierd that nobody suggested this yet..

Devil May Cry 3. A hack 'n slash similar to God of War. You didn't even have to play the other games in the series to understand the story!

No one has recommended Onimusha yet? FOR SHAME.

Other than that, I would recommend Gitaroo Man if you can find it. It's a fantastically Japanese throwback to rhythm games before Guitar Hero set the industry standard.

Persona 3:FES had a better story.
Cool story bro

I have to disagree, P3 had a good story fine but I prefer the more localised, focused if you will story (save a village instead of save the world) and the entire mystery that P4 is based around makes the entire game for me.

Personally I find that Persona 3 has interesting characters and relationships not an actual interesting story. Aigis and Chidori are good examples.

Plus the main character in P3 is a total bellend. No arguments can be made against this pure and simple fact. It kinda ruined the game for me to be honest. You can't have the antisocial loner for a main character in a friendship based game without him character developing out of it at least slightly.

The words "I don't care" come up as a dialogue choice disturbingly often for example.

P4 has interesting characters, an interesting set of Social Links, a perfectly sublime mystery story and most importantly a direct command button in the combat! Fuck you Yukari! You have failed me in your healing duty for the last time! Yukiko is just better.

I can't describe everything I love about Persona 4 without writing an entire essay so i'll just leave it here...

I recommend Transformers (not the movie one) and Ultimate Spiderman. I find both of them to be better than their more recognised counter parts (Transformers: War for Cybertron and Spiderman 2 respectively).
