Code Geass (similar to and probably better than death note)
Baccano!
Cowboy Bebop
Black Lagoon
Gurren Lagann
Trigun
FLCL (warning may cause head to explode)

Recently, I really enjoyed Great Teacher Onizuka.
Very funny. It's about an ex-motorbike gang member who is trying to become the greatest teacher ever. When students piss him off he gets the help of his old gang members to help straighten them out.

For something more in line with Death Note, check out Code Geass and Eden of the East.

Soul Eater, Fairy Tale, Shaman King, Witch Hunter Robin, One Piece, the Vampire Hunter D films, Pom Poko, Vision of Escaflowne, Outlaw Star and of course Cowboy Bebop. Without watching Cowboy Bebop in all it's splendor then you are not a man.

Hey all, I'm looking for some new stuff to get into currently I'm watching Deadman Wonderland, Blood+ and i just finished watching all of the Ghost In The Shell and Vampire Night, so I want something new to get into I've also seen: Inital D, Gundam Wing, Full Metal Alchimest, Death Note (series and movie), Fruits Basket, Howl's Moving Castle, FF: Advent Children and FF: Spirits Within just to name a few so if anyone has any suggestion they might think are relative to the previously mentioned stuff or something different I'm open to most things that would be good, thanks in advance.
Bleach
naruto / Shippuden
FMA.. you already seen <.<
Death Note... seen that aswell x)
Elfen Lied - this is by far one of the mest anime's imo .. only 13 or 14 episodes.. but still.. amazing
Soul Eater - is good aswell ^^

if you liked FMA, try and see "FairyTail" its pretty fun ^^ same humor and magic :)

I'm gonna go ahead and say you probably haven't seen or heard of Spice & Wolf. It's brilliant, and so different from mainstream anime, that you'll probably go "Wtf am I watching?", but, once you finish the first season (Which is infinitely better than the second), you'll never question it again.

Also:-

Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan
Baccano! (From my avatar, you should have seen this one coming... ¬_¬)
Elfen Lied
Clannad
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Everyone should see this)
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Neon Genesis Evangelion

Those should keep you busy for a while =P

This may be a bit outside of your normal genres, but I can recommend Clannad above pretty much all else. It's a romance/comedy/drama. If that's not your thing... watch it anyway. Even if you think you'll hate it, watch it so you can try to prove me wrong when I say the second and final season will make you cry. A lot. You will try not to, you will brace yourself, but you will fail. If you don't cry in Clannad, you have no soul.
I second this. Its 10/10 anime.

I just finished Clannad and it was great. I tried to not cry even when it got bad but when it got worse I just couldn't fight it anymore.
