Hey guys,
So I'm looking to buy a new desktop since I've grown tired of my current laptop and would like a computer I could upgrade instead of having to buy a completely new machine. Sadly, I don't have much money, so building a top end machine is out of the question, and if I'm not building a super machine, I don't find the point on wasting my time doing the research on every part and what not. So what I was planning to do was buy a computer at around $600 - $900 dls and upgrading the necessary parts from there whenever it is needed.
I don't need a top end machine since I don't really do any video editing or power gaming on PC's (at most I'll play League of Legends or Diablo 3 when/if it comes out).

So here's my question. What company do I go with?
I've been looking around and Acer seems to be pretty good, and HP is always a choice I guess... what are your experiences with some computer companies? Any problems?

Thanks for the help,
azzair

But you'll save so much money doing it yourself. Money you can either use for better parts, or just not spend.

Problem with big brand prebuilt is that their motherboards and psus are often not really made so people can upgrade.

I would suggest that you try to find a shop that sells store built computers since in my experience you will get more value for your money and better psus & mobos

Thanks for the responses.

So the general response is to get of my lazy behind and do the work huh... Oh well I could go for a little dusting on computer building. Well, I better start doing the research.

Thanks guys.

Also, if you don't go for building yourself, don't go with Acer.

They are a budget brand, and not really worth the money.
