Let's face it, we're all going to watch it anyway, and it's going to make a ton of money.

THAT'S why.

Whatever the plot is, I'm sure we'll get plenty more examples of Suzaku being an insufferable hypocrite.

I loved Code Geass, but they told the story that needed to be told, there is no reason to go further.

Why do I get a feeling it will end up being like Eureka 7 AO, a major dissapointment that didn't need a sequel. Seriously let those surviving characters have their happy ending.

Still I can kinda see why they want to make another due to the stuff that came after it aired like the Alice in Wonderland parody and that spin off ova.

I wonder if this could explain the exact origin of the Geass as that was the only thing I wanted to know when it was over.

Either way I don't really care and won't watched it cos I end up disliking the series in the end despite I'm into mechs.

I honestly want this to happen, in hope they follow the Season 1 route instead of Season 2. However, this goes against my interests, because Code Geass was one of the biggest show dissapointments in my life and one of the reasons I unjustly see all anime as shit until proven otherwise and are much less tolerant of Anime's specific characteristics.

It honestly feels R1 and R2 are from completely different universes, or some sort of soft reboot that takes away the original's souls. Everything, from the somewhat grounded combat with actual tactics and Knightmares used as machines of war with limitations that could be explored, which contrasted severely with R"Our mechas are literal gods that can charge 100 mooks and win"2, from the characters that became pathetically underexplored, to the extreme exageration of already eggregious fanservice, to one of the worst piece of shit idiotic endings that I've ever seen in my life that for some reason people still clamour as anything else than a stupid mess that comes as a result of the writers wanting to end the show with Christian undertones to stroke the dicks of Neon Genisis Evangelion fans and send the already frail internal logic of a previously good lore down the shitter.

If it sounds like I hate the show... I do, deep from the bottom of my heart. I hate the show for making me like it so much then shattering my trust and love by acting like a completely different show from that which lured me in.
And I hope this R3 that's in talks manages to take the broken mess that's my love for the show and make something out of it.
