Looks like MW3 will not feature dedicated servers (Kotaku).

Is this gonna turn into another one of those "Boycott MW" things and then like 75% of the people who are "Boycotting" it end up buying it anyways?
As I recall the numbers were incredibly low compared to consoles even for a primarily console title. This will not go over well with the PC crowd and might actually fail on that platform. Or it could be a huge success we will just have to wait and see. I hope for their sake they learned to include a kick vote this time.

Personally, I don't really care.
All I want in a multiplayer game is to be able to form a group/party of some sort, and find a game together without server hopping.

Wasn't buying it anyway. Team Fortress 2 has me covered for multiplayer in ways that CoD never has and never will. As for single player, I already know it's gonna be shit, so I'm not gonna bother giving IW my money.

That's a damn shame (if it's true). I remember MW2 becoming a hack fest after about a month or so on PC (not to mention the ridiculous latency issues and host advantage). What was even worse is that IW pretty much turned a blind eye to it. Still, doesn't matter much to me, I stopped playing CoD shortly after MW2. I would consider getting it if dedis make a return, though it looks unlikely.

If this is true, then it means another Call of Duty game I won't be getting on PC. At least consoles should have split-screen.

Christ, a man gets shafted back and forth by EA and Activision. It's like they just can't pull their own heads out of their asses.
