Isn't that page rather "loose" with its thousands upon thousands of users everyday?

It's basically more anonymous than, say, a forum like the Escapist, of course the people turn into even bigger dipshits.

Three words: 18-Years-Old. The age that crosses over the creativity of mature adults and the stupid hummor of teenagers. Obviusly not everyone's like that, only the people that actualy HAD stupid hummor in the first place, but at least it gives you another explination besides "youtube sucks."

True. I've seen much more rampant stupidity on youtube than I've seen in most other parts of the internet.

I'd also be hesitant to say it actually has a community, not as we know it anyway. I certainly don't go there myself for the friendly chat.

hahaha, that is a hilarious statement.

You might as well say 'that Osama Bin Laden might not be as friendly as he comes across'.

YouTube is 90% scum, 10% people who are just looking at videos and bother to make a comment about something or upload a funny video or two.

'Youtube community', I prefer to think of it as a holding pen. A place on the internet to keep them indoors and off sites with actual communities, so they are not outside naked fighting like they would otherwise be doing without somewhere to be homophobic, racist and generally offensive online.

I can say that yes, the YouTube 'community' is stacked full of people that shouldn't be trusted with a pair of childs plastic scissors!

On the flip side though, if you post a video which is a little more niche, like my photography slideshows or Morrowind videos, you tend to find that people are generally more tolerable, some of them are even pleasant!

The subjects to avoid include the following

Cars - Internet keyboard warriors and failed mechanics all end up fighting.

Jets - Always turn into a U.S. Vs U.K. war with people arguing who would win in the event that an F-22 had a dogfight with a Eurofighter

War - Nearly always ends in a muslims Vs. the world or U.K. Vs. U.S. arguments.


The pattern that emerges is that American internet nerds don't seem to like British internet nerds!

Because real men listen to modern songs that have the lyrics wrote/written (I failed English) on the back of a postage stamp. The music is so poorly done you can't tell what instrument is currently playing, it's just a constant thumping noise that repeats every five seconds. Plus the lead singer (and I use the word 'singer' in the loosest sense possible) sounds like he is shouting through his nose.

I love modern music. Especially songs about someone being on a fucking boat or wearing a t-shirt or kissing a girl for publicity.

If they ever create the technology to clone people for the love of GOD PLEASE bring back Freddie Mercury so we can get back to good music.

They are quite stupid, put simply. I once got into an argument with a guy saying that the jews made hitler kill them because their religion demanded it. like what the hell? I was from then i gave up on youtube comments, (especially after all the people who think that your music is shit cause they dont like it.. rise against for the win) and when the video quality declined dramatically, i gave up there to. The escapist has much better vids (ZP and doomsday arcade) and then when the site wouldn't let me log in, i gave up on it entirely.

It's one of the areas of the Internet that I'm too frightened to go to, like /b/ or LUE.

I've turned off the comments section for that exact reason.

But that takes away all the fun of watching a load of idiots argue.

Isn't it a bit much when both of those idoits are people pretending to be stupid so thay can have a joke at the other guy and those who are watching?
