Sorry for the title there, I really am, but I felt it was a good way to grab your attention.

Anyway, I recently dusted off my sister's Gamecube because I wanted to play some Mario Party. But I noticed a game in her collection I had never heard of: Lost Kingdoms. I played it for a few minutes and it seems like a sub-standard JRPG so I want to find out whether or not it is at least an okay game before I continue playing.

So tell me, those of you who've played (and preferably finished) this title: is it worth my time? I'm itching to play another JRPG but I would much rather play a good one over a bad one.

While I don't really believe I have played a "JRPG" I do not think that Lost Kingdoms is one.
I only ever played the first one (yes, there is a sequel!) but I enjoyed it.
It's more of a card-deck-adventure game...

You build a deck of I want to say 30 or 32 cards, and go through a stage with that deck, calling out independent monsters, weapon cards, and summons. There is a battle screen, but all it really is would be the area you are in being confined to a limited zone while you still run around using for hand to play cards and dodge attacks.

It's not turn-based and you don't really get other characters in a "party" of sorts.
I enjoyed the game, especially the "spin" type mosnters (plus some of they are sooo cute~).
But, I don't really like saying what games are for who. My friends mostly enjoyed it, but we also have sampled many TCG's together happily(ish)...

Um... Microsoft Gamecube? 0_o

OT: If people recommend it, I'll have to check it out. I'm always up for another good JRPG. :D

lol yeah, you know, the one that competed against the Commodore 64 and the Nintendo Revolution2.

Sorry, it was supposed to draw page views. I guess it didn't work.

Oh... well it's what got me here, heh, I just didn't understand it was purposeful. Though I suppose considering you're on my friends list and you have over 8000 posts, I should have figured that out myself...
