So I just had a surgery and will be spending a ridiculous amount of time imprisoned on my couch on pain medication that makes me slightly loopy. I need a time killer that is fun, but not too challenging since my reaction times are going to be slowed. What is a good low impact but fun game on the PS3 that is available on Gamefly.

Thank you in advance.

Try out some turn based strategy games.

If you've got a laptop, you could pick up Baldur's Gate 2 on GoG.com for cheap, turn the auto pause on and it'll play like a turn based game.

Perhaps try Valkyria Chronicles [http://www.gamefly.com/Rent-Valkyria-Chronicles/131255/], it's a turn-based tactical RPG. Oh, and good luck on your recovery.

I am inclined to disagree, there is an extended edition of Baldurs Gate 1+2 coming out very shortly. I'm sure it's worth a little wait.

Dynasty Warriors 7 can offer some great cathartic fun!

Just stick to the easier difficulties and stay away from Lu Bu.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to give them a shot.

Edit: Adding missing words. Wish I could blame it on the medsv

Reminded me of this:

I personally go with the turn-based game suggestions, they work out quite wel for some relaxed gaming.

minecraft is a really good way to spend time, if it would be too much for you with your meds, just play it on peacefull, the suggestions for turn based strategy gladius is good if you have an xbox( the original) or a gamecube, not sure if it's on ps2

Try one of the lego games. Ultimate in laid back gaming in my opinion.

Each one is chock-full of content too. So theres your time-killer :p

I'm going to second the turn based suggestion. How about a nice 4X game? Galactic Civilizations II is pretty easy to get into, being basically Civilization 2 in space and in a format that works on modern computers. There's also the actual Civ series. I wouldn't recommend any of the more complicated 4X games if you're looking for something relaxing and simple; a lot of them are pretty much Spreadsheets: the Game, which is good if you're into it, but even then you have to be serious about it to decide to sit down and play a situation.

Edit: Shoot, Missed the PS3 part. I don't have a PS3, so there's nothing turn based for it that I can personally recommend, but I will note that the two series I mentioned have entries that will run on pretty much any computer capable of accessing the internet. Basically, if you can use Facebook, you can run GalCiv and Civ III and IV.

You can always play Dark Souls. The difficulty level of that game is pretty manageable.

For real though, I don't know what gamefly has, but if you're looking for relaxing games on PS3, I truly have to recommend these two fantastic games:

Journey

Flower

They're both on the PSN shop (or whatever it's called) and are both incredibly relaxing low-difficulty games.

Minecraft is really relaxing and you can accomplish great things when you have heaps of time on your hands. Or play one of the Pokemon games. I play Pokemon Silver when I want to relax.

Pokemon and Minecraft are good choices. It's funny because I'm on pain meds right now too, albiet just for a stiff neck. But I'm having a joyous time playing Pokemon Yellow again, also Ommwriter is making my job veryyyyy relaxing. It's a word processor, look it up.

Check out endless space on the PC, its a turn based space RTS and its pretty easy to get into, there is not a massive focus on resource management and no eve like economics. Plus being turn based you can take as long as you need and are unlikely to make your situation worse.
