For people who don't know, lucid dreaming is when you are aware that you're sleeping. Just made this thread for people to share their lucid dreams and/or questions about them. When you're lucid dreaming you can manipulate everything around you, all you need to do is think about it and believe that it's going to happen. This includes flying, materializing objects/people, changing the location etc... I for one suck at this. When I'm lucid dreaming I can barely fly, let alone do the more complex stuff. So what about you? Have you had any lucid dreams? If so how long did it last and what did you do?

most of the time when i dream i am in fact aware that i am dreaming, but im never conscious enough to be able to control everything, its like watching a movie while hopped up on morphine, you acknowledge that it's happening but you don't really care.

Ive noticed alot lately while im having a reallly good dream, i become aware im sleeping, and i try to wake up just to see if it would work. I hate that because i do it right before the good part of the dream

I get aware that I am dreaming, but generally just as that realization comes, I wake up. I find this strange, as it feels like I'm in the matrix or something. When this doesn't happen, I can never try to manipulate anything in case I wake up.

Well, I've had one where it started raining gerbils and I began shotgunning them out of the air.

How awesome of a videogame would that be?

Most people wake up after realizing that they're dreaming, it's just the shock. To prevent this try uses your senses, look around you, listen to what's happening etc... whatever you do don't close your eyes because you're bound to wake up if you do that. Another trick that works for me is to spin around quickly, strange but it works.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to do this :)
However, I haven't dreamed in ages(that I can remember, which is probably the trick), let alone lucid dreaming.

Most people dream, some just forget them.

I have lucid dreams sometimes, but if I try to manipulate my dream I tend to wake up.

yeah i sometimes have those, where you can manipulate them XD
but sometimes i just let it run freeee and see where it goes, i only change things when i feel they need changing..
like my last one, i remember being in a lift with a load of people, and they kept wanting to get out, but i managed to keep them in the lift till they were at the right floor... or something

Oh, I forgot to mention, I've had these great dreams where I fly, It's so cool. You run for about 2 seconds than take off and just see the landscape. That's the most I can ever do/have done though.

In my dreams some weird shit always happens to me. It feels like I make all the decisions and that I'm in control of whatever situation has been presented to me, but at the same time, I know I'm not. All my recent dreams have left me waking with a profound feeling, but immediatly I have no recollection of my mind's wanderings. It scares me and is best left in my sleep.

Yeah I've had a few lucid dreams. For the most part, I think they're good in a weirdly compelling way.

The last one I can remember was one where I was at a house party, in the corner not talking to many people. A friend (who died recently) came up and told me to follow him; I went to the door to leave, but instead I changed it and followed. From there he introduced me to new people.

Needless to say, that one messed me up when I woke...

It seems when I have dreams when I'm just dozing (like in the morning when you wake up but then quickly drift off again)I can seem to control kind of what's happening. It's a really weird state of mind though.

I usually don't know when I'm dreaming, but on the rare occasions I do I can easily manipulate my reality. It's really surreal though, almost eerie.

All my dreams end just before the good parts. And I can't control the dreams where I'm aware of being asleep.
