I'm guessing they know they can't change the way people feel about them. I mean Anonymous has gone into full blown social activist mode and there are still people on these forums who talk about the like they're the scum of the earth. If I were lulzsec I wouldn't look at the escapist and think "How can I make those guys like me?" I'd probably just say "Haters gonna hate"

It's kinda of funny that the resounding response from most of the Escapist community was either "Huh? When did that happen?" or "Oh, we got hit? Meh, whatever".

And in either case, we all just continued on as normal.

Apparantly the escapist was locking people who posted anything about it, and they didnt make any news about it and considering how eve and minecraft were brough down as well id think this was pretty inportant gamming news.

That would explain how it's passed my attention so easily. But yeah I'd have thought taking things down like the ever-popular Minecraft would both make news and also drive enough people to discuss the issue.

No it isn't. It is a bunch of ten year olds who think pressing "start" on a ddos program at the same time as a load of other ten year olds is hacking and makes them badass.
