I really don't see Lulzsec's goal in all of this. Other than Evil for the Lulz.
Exactly. It's one thing to point out if someone has paper-thin security or outdated server patching, but using DDOS attacks (which could be used even against the most secure web sites) and publishing private info on public web sites certainly doesn't speak "Breaking Security for the Lulz". It's more like "We can do whatever we want and you can't stop us". I really didn't expect anything more from them, honestly.

They need to be brought down and arrested as they are nothing more than criminal scum.
Also speaking of arrested I had a dream last night, were they were finally caught. The arrests were shown on live TV (don't ask why it was just a dream) and I remember how happy I felt as I watched the members being brought out of their homes, some of them were even kicking and screaming.

I can't wait for the day that dream becomes a reality.

Okay, I'm just going to say it. Please, Anonymous. Please destroy these bastards. Despite my displeasure at your careless attitude and annoying hacking procedures, you have done good in the past! Lulzsec is just RETARDED. Please take them down.

They had one teeny-tiny sliver of respectability left because they hadn't released any of the information that they had stolen, but now lulzsec is nothing more than a group of petty thugs.

If this is supposed to be for lulz, then it has the comedic value of a Dane Cook routine performed by Steve-O.
Ayep. This isn't even amusing now; they're just trying to see how much they can get away with before they get caught.
At least this might create a better job market for cyber warriors and internet security teams.

Yeah, I'm increasingly surprised Anonymous hasn't destroyed them. LulzSec violates internet freedom on a daily basis - they're a perfect target for Anonymous, the antihero vigilante freedom fighters of the information age.

Damnit they took the file down, now i can't check if they got me.
There's a passwordless searchable list here : http://dazzlepod.com/lulzsec/

Checked mine, and people I know. No matches, luckily.
Oh thank god I'm not there, screw it don't care anymore LulzSec can do what it wants until it gets caught which it will now it's claimed it hacked the CIA website. Bear baiting is fun and games until you get mauled to pieces.

Lulzsec are not lulz. Saying you are lulz repeatedly does not make you lulz. You have to actually do something funny. They are what is known as "criminals".

They aren't pseudo-respectable in the same way anonymous (at least at times) is -- Lulzsec are just a bunch of assholes.

PS loving the new captcha that doesn't have crazy hebrew letters in it...
What he said.

Phew, I wasn't hacked. Hopefully the guys at Lulzsec will find something else to amuse themselves with soon..

On a completely unrelated note: the captcha called me 'foul smelling'. Cheeky bastard.

The only thing to do is wait for someone like Anon with the capabilities to get rid of them to do so, or let the government get around to it eventually.

They're trolls. Plain and simple. Complaining about them is their whole motivation for doing it and the alternative option is having the whole internet drop their pants and bend over for them anytime they feel like being assholes.

Luckily they're in a losing fight because all it takes is one clever guy among them to get their identities and drop them off in the CIA or FBI's inbox or something. Although if you ask me at this point I'd be ok with the government passing more internet regulation laws to ensure that people like this can't go do what they want.

You know if they did things like hack forum accounts to change everyones avatar to a pic of a boat with lulz on it or something I would be having a lul or two but this is so petty.

I am still waiting for my jelly ...

I hate them. A lot.

As punishment, I'd send them to bed without any supper or a bedtime story and confiscate their In the Night Garden DVDs. That'd teach them.

Trolls aren't trying to amuse everyone. Just themselves.

Thank the gods I'm not on that list...but I feel bad for everyone that is.

This needs to stop before the internet changes forever.

Cant they see the damage this is doing? To all of us?

This is just..weird.

Usually they'd be like "LULZ we got x email/pass from y site"
just posting them seems silly. Most hackers aren't going to try 5+ different sites to see where it works. Or maybe they would, just seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.

i they deserve a jail sentence for sure at this point... one year for every instance of hacking, and ten years just for what they did to Sony.

seriously
