I mean...1 hack is enough. Actually 1 hack is already too many.
Now it just gets out of hand and there is just no fun in it.

Yeah, security is bad! WE GET IT!
All these hacks never proved a thing and all it did was violating other's privacy.

So LulzSec may burn in some fire, for all I care.
They proved something we already knew actually - that any security will always be hackable.
Yeah but everyone knows that everything is security is hackable! So even the first hack was redundant!

Well at least they've cut that crap out with NATO and the FBI. I can actually get behind something like this.
You can get behind someone invading a person's personal life and intentionally trying to ruin things? If someone's going to be a douchebag and cheat on his girlfriend or visit a porn site or whatever that's their f'ing business and no one elses.

What the one guy calls justice is an invasion of privacy and nothing else.
I was more or less trying to say I could stand behind this more in comparison to the other things they've done. I'm a bit split, though--on the one hand, I think if you are being a douchebag, things are bound to catch up with you at some point or another. On the other hand, I don't think vigilante justice on the Internet is a wise thing to be advocating, either. So I dunno. I see it as a moral gray area. The only thing I know for sure is I wasn't doing anything shitty, so I didn't get hurt.

If you pay for porn on the Internet, I'm inclined to believe that you deserve to get your account hacked.

Anyway, LulzSec is stupid. They're pissing off everyone but themselves.

Fanboyism detector getting dangerously high.
But you do have to admit, it is a bit unfair for Sony to get hacked twice...
(for the note I have both a 3 and PS3, and therefore have no bias)

twice? lol where have you been? Lulzsec alone has hacked them 6 times. Idahc hacked em 3 times. Sony has been hacked well over a dozen times, I quickly counted 18 (but I couldve counted 1 twice or missed one so count em yourself) if you include Sony having personal information completly unprotected on the net and even indexed by google. for 10 years!! right there in a web browser available without needing to hack into sony!!! for fucks sake Sony has some serious issues with customer information!

OT:

I read about the porn hack earlier, thought it was hilarious in a way but not for the people whos email was posted for all to see with passwords. and I would like to warn everyone here, DO NOT LOGIN to any of those email addresses or FB! you could get arrested for that!

well frankly if you cant be bothered to find the free, email not required porn, you have no business being on the internet.

call me a cyberterrorist if you must, but i fully support fucking with someones facebook, if nothing else lulzsec did. still i dont know how these people can claim to hack for the lulz when they steal information with every hack though...

It proved that we have no security, and as much as I don't like these hacks, they'll keep going until this issue is actually brought up in the spotlight and the big ups in the corporations actually start caring about peoples information being secure.

Jesus what's with the 360 fanboys here? "What can you possibly not like about XBLA?"... "If you really think PSN is better you obviously don't have an Xbox"... are these arseholes just attracted to threads concerning Lulzsec? PSN is free, has free content on it and has a library of PS1 games, that's why people think it's better.

About the OP I guess that's just a lesson never to use your real email address and not to use the same password you use for Facebook for dodgy websites.

Has anyone considered that LulzSec and Anonymous might be led (in their most organized efforts at least (attacks against the government and corporate sectors) by intelligence agents from various governments and corporations in order to impose stricter controls on the Internet in the name of "cybersecurity"?

If they're not a false flag, I view LulzSec the same I view the Bolsheviks in the 1917 revolution.
They're fighting bad guys, but they're no better themselves, and they'll crush anyone potentially on their side over a dissenting issue.
