LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Releasing mediafire/pastebin/torrent link to a large cache of compromised internal @Sony data in exactly 4 hours. #Sownage
That was posted about twenty minutes ago. So, three hours and fourty minutes to go...can't even imagine what they've stolen from Sony this time.

Edit: I'll put up the link to the pastebin once LulzSec posts the information.

#
#
We recently broke into SonyPictures.com and compromised over 1,000,000 users'
#
personal information, including passwords, email addresses, home addresses,
#
dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts.
#
Among other things, we also compromised all admin details of Sony Pictures
#
(including passwords) along with 75,000 "music codes" and 3.5 million "music coupons".
#

#
Due to a lack of resource on our part (The Lulz Boat needs additional funding!)
#
we were unable to fully copy all of this information, however we have samples
#
for you in our files to prove its authenticity. In theory we could have taken
#
every last bit of information, but it would have taken several more weeks.

#
#
Included in our collection are databases from Sony BMG Belgium & Netherlands.
#
These also contain varied assortments of Sony user and staffer information.
Well, fuck.

Edit 2: LulzSec now has a website. They've also listed most of their activities on it: http://lulzsecurity.com/releases/

Edit 3: Apparently they haven't been able to get the files up on their main site yet because of DDOS attacks on their site. This news makes me a happy panda. A very happy panda indeed.

Edit 4: Mediafire links work, but apparently the torrent doesn't.

Still, NATO should probably go after LulzSec first. Just sayin'.

I wonder what kind of useless emails they snagged.
They might even concern someone's birthday party! I'm so exited!

That's pretty much why I'm only putting the pastebin link up. Pastebin is basically an online notepad, no download required.

As Neil McCauley in HEAT put it "Do you see me knocking over liqour stores with "born to lose" tattooed on my chest?"

They're very against the idea that they're Anonymous, but they were the ones who: Brought down Sony Greece and Sony Japan, changed some articles on PBS as well as posting all of the admin's username and password information for PBS and all of it's affiliate sites, hacked Wall Street Journal, hacked the FBI (and plan on doing it again this Friday), among other things.

They've made the news a couple of times, and there are articles about them in the News Room...surprised that you haven't heard of them.

That would be the idea, I guess. It seems like they just want to piss the most people off they possibly can, though. Who the hell attacks PBS? Seriously.

Well thankfully it was just a prank news story about Tupac and Biggie being alive in New Zealand.
They also posted the username and passwords of all PBS admins, among other varied information. Also...

Updated.

This...this isn't good. I mean, really not good.

This isnt lulzworthy.

This is just plain wrong and I do not understand why anyone would want to do this.

Actually, if anything, Anonymous are the "wannabes" as Anonymous (with a few exceptions) are not actually hackers. Lulzsec, unfortunately, are hackers.

I agree. Anonymous stops at affecting other people outside their main targets. That is why they stopped their DDoS on the PSN a while back [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109056-Anonymous-Halts-Sony-Attacks-Affecting-PSN-Users]--they didn't want their war with Sony to affect users. As "despicable" as you might want to call Anonymous for the things they really have done, at least it can be said they have standards.

This group, however, just seems to be out to reek havoc wherever they go. They aren't out to prove a point or ruin some bad person's day, they're out to raise as much hell as they possibly can.

Personally, I hope Anonymous centers their crosshairs on LulzSec now. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
