We got the biopsy done today, doctor said his cancer is pretty advanced. Won't know what kind of treatment to do till they test it though.

My dad got lung cancer for smoking for upwards of forty years. Took out 2/3 of his...right (I think? it's been a while) lung, and he did well for years but died of colon cancer which the doctors couldn't determine if it was a metastasis from the lung or another primary site. Good luck to you and your family.
Thank you, I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

It's what got both my parents I wasn't around for most of it I came home for both their funerals. It is hard and just remember that if your positive he can stay positive my mother was supposed to be a minor case and it got her quickly in a few months we really where not prepared for it also I always felt that her youngest son joining the Rangers right at the start of a war didn't help.My father was given two months and he lived three years he was a fighter to the end.Keep positive and listen to the docters unfortunately they are dealing with this a lot now but hopefully that means they are getting better treating it.

Thanks for that man, it's a hard thing to keep my dad positive. I'm making videos of all this and of my dad on youtube and I'm going to start getting more showing who my dad is. I want to always remember 'the man' as he is before this robs him of it.

My nan currently has lung cancer. She had radiotherapy for three months, but refused chemo so when she went for her final check-up she was incredibly lucky to be told the cancer had shrunk enough to not require chemo to keep her alive. She cannot be cured, but the cancer is merely a hindrance to her now, rather than a death sentence. She's in her eighties, but doing well.

If this post sounds heartless, it's only due to the deep seated mutual hatred between us.

Doesn't sound heartless. My dads is like your nan's I'd say. If they could shrink my dad's then he would be able to live a better life.
