Oh I'm sure a Max would be perfect for you if that's the case!
...Did you honestly find that funny?
I thought it was hilarious...
No, I just plain don't like Bored Tomatoe because of a thread that seems to think a product is bad due to the way it is addressed to the public, that and he spelt tomato wrong.
I never said the product was bad, I take it that you are a mac fanboy, don't worry, no one is going to hurt Steve Jobs. And I am aware of my misspelling.Troll.
I'm really not a fanboy, as I explained in the section of my post that you decided not to quote in order to tilt the argument in your direction. Also, why spell it wrong then? Isn't it obvious that knbheads like me will call you on it?
I didn't realize it until the account had been created, I don't seem to understand why you hate me though...
There was no other part of your post...just hate spewing.

I never really enjoyed macs, but I hate the commercials. They lie so much. But what commercaials are people talking about that Microsoft riped of Apple? The Mojave thing wasn't a rip off it was actually quite interesting. Oh and as for creative things, there isn't a single Mac in my schools art department.

Possibly for the same reason I put an h on the end of my name, because we felt like it?

Actually, due to heavy subsidies (or Cupertino black magic), it's much heaper to buy a Mac Pro than to build your own octo-core Xeon system.

But that's honestly a huge waste of money the majority of the time anyway.
Apple isn't the only computer company that sells octo-core systems. I've seen other ones that were much cheaper. Plus the RAM that they sell in those systems costs 500$ for 4 gigs, and its the same kind on newegg or compusa or tigerdirect.

I think you'll find that these professionals choose what they prefer for themselves
Then I feel sorry for the professionals that choose inferior products.
Amen.

Although, Macs aren't necessarily inferior in music production. They just cost a lot more to do the same exact things you can do with a Windows machine.

Of course, we can't forget personal preference. I just prefer to save my money and spend it where it counts: the recording hardware.
I agree on the hardware front; it makes by far the biggest difference with recording. In fairness,i can ***** all day about how many professionals prefer what computers, but the one thing they probably all have in common is that they all use good quality mics, mixers, FX etc.

We've got catapults for our desktop towers. Your puny iPod is no match for the might of PC's.

I think there a more factors to why some computers are better than others other than just the operating system.

Horses for courses, I reckon.

Every windows notebook I've owned has bricked on me within 3 months, and that's with light use. Got a MacBook for uni and got on great with it, and luckily all the specialist chem software I need runs native.

That said, I own XP and Vista rigs for gaming and general use, and an iMac for course related work when I'm not on campus. Even break out *gasp* Unix for a spot of functional programming now and then.

Anyone arguing that one platform is the be all and end all is a tool as far as I'm concerned.

*blinks*

Oh, the ads? Both Apple and Microsoft came up with shit for them, seriously. Not like I've ever bought anything based on advertising.

There not as bad as the new microsoft "i'm a pc" adverts.

I'm a pc, and I'm desperately trying to convince people I'm down with it

"What took you so long? It felt like I was waiting for a PC to boot up!" [insert 'Boing' and canned laughter]
"Keep them at bay for as long as you can, I will seek out the only one who can save us.."
*Runs off to find Justin Long.*

I kind of like the ads, they're pretty funny. I like the two actors too, especially John Hodgman (the PC), he's great. Has anyone else seen him on the Daily Show? And he also wrote a hilarious book - The Areas of My Expertise [http://www.amazon.com/Areas-My-Expertise-John-Hodgman/dp/1594482225/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1229905297&sr=1-1]. It's a "reference" book that, among many others, has a section detailing the period when the Hoboes attempted to overthrow the US Government. Definitely worth checking out.

*RP-ing aside for the moment*
This. And the rest of the post of course. Neither OS is so good that it makes the other obsolete.

The only thing Macs are good for are giving you a headache. I have to use one where I work. Do you know how hard it is to do Photoshop without being able to right-click? Not only that but their slow as hell.
