I once 'Fonzied', a TV back to working condition. Was pretty sweet.
I've also bent numerous metal objects back into shape with my teeth.

I use scanning tunneling microscopes to image nanoscale assemblies of molecules. Awesome molecules. You might think such a piece of highly sensitive equipment would be fancy or something-- its actually a horrifying rats nest of disaster in the electronics box. There may or may not be some bubble gum holding something down. No one has to know.

The general trick to fixing it is flipping all the switches on and off really fast.

I once had to use a lighter to melt back the plastic on some wires so when I had the thing (I forget what it was) on I wouldnt have sparks shooting out of it (contrary to my friends saying that would be awesome).

I once had to use my car motor to cook some food. it was... alright, i guess.
