i was just wanting to get other opinion on MAG. like what you thought of it? and did you injoy playing it?

me i found it to be refreshing i didn't here 6 guys swearing and insulting each other and there was actual team work form compleat randoms than iv never met .

downside was the weapon power balance and the spec system was in need of work.

but other than that i was quite pleased with the game

I love it. I generally hate online multiplayer, but thoroughly enjoyed MAG. My main complaint is that the maps seem a bit...lifeless, I suppose is the right word. But that really doesn't detract a whole lot from the experience.
The best experiences you'll have are when you are lucky enough to have squad leader, platoon leaders, and executive officers that can plan the battle and get everyone to work together. When it works, it's great. When the command structure fails, it's still more fun then most other FPS games. I've generally noticed that I usually end up with a team that cooperates really well. Every Now and again I get stuck with a few COD obsessed 12 year olds, but that seems to be rare.
MAG is one of the only 4 competitive online multiplayer games I play. The others I enjoy are TF2, Half-Life Opposing Force, and Bioshock 2.

It still ain't no PlanetSide. And PlanetSide is turning 6 this year. Absolutely ridiculous that MMOFPS has made zero progress. It's because every one is too busy turning out titles for old shitty console hardware. Even though the PS3 isn't as ancient, from a tech stand point, as the 360- MAG still can't hold a candle to a 6 year old PC title.

I looove it, finally a game where teamwork is essential, and complete random people will work together as a team! (love the fact that I haven't ran into any of the younger gamers yet!) Personally I love the specialization-thingy, as it doesn't just give everything away at levels like MW2, you actually have to choose what you want to get first, then work your way to it. More games should do this imho. (The recruitment videos for the PMCs were awesome aswell, go S.V.E.R. =P )

Best FPS experience out there on consoles.

When I get down time, this is all I am playing.

I don't have a ps3, but I played it for a while at a friend's house, and I was quite underwhelmed. Apparently it works great when the entire team is working together and coordinating attacks, but what I got was a game in which everyone spawned, immediately ran into enemy fire, died, and repeated the process ad infinitum. The game also had a strange, undefinable quality to it, like the entire game was on a rollercoaster constantly entering and leaving some kind of uncanny valley. Not great.

It depends, if you go in expecting something like CoD on a larger scale, you are going to be disapointed, but if you like teamwork games, you are going to love it, I like it more than CoD now

This game's major flaw is that it relies on the co-operative intelligence of 63 - 250 people at a time. I'll say this again. The game requires at least 200 competent people to create a good gaming experience. Like that's ever going to happen. Unless you have 250 friends that you know won't screw things up.
Other flaw is that it's an online only game. Meaning that once the servers are shut down, it's over.

It's hard enough to get 16 competent people. Yet alone 200. And getting them to work together...Jesus couldn't even do that.

I played the beta, and picked up the game on Friday and I like it. I liked it more than MW2's multiplayer anyway. I like being able to support your team.

Sabotage is pretty boring though, it's too quiet compared to the rest of the modes.

I played the demo and I had a few bad experences with some good ones. I remember playing with one match and it was very strange to actualy hear people communicate and shout out locations of enemies. Everynow and then I got stuck with a no headset team but I could still dig it. One thing I didn't like was during any given attack it seemed whoever defended always won but I can't blame the game for that.....I think; also at times with RPG's, grenades and random gunfire flying around some of the more close battles, like the one at the oil refinery as S.E.V.R can feel more like a ClusterFu** than a pluse pounding firefight.

But all of that aside I will get MAG (when the right money comes up) only because of one reason....

You can vote to kick certain players giving the team a hard time.
