Does anyone still read magazines? Well, ones that aren't tabloids at least.

It seems more and more people aren't reading magazines because of the internet, but I know some people just can't stop buying them.

In the last several years, the magazines I get have dwindled down to Rue Morgue... and that's it.

I read Bass Player magazine more than actual books.

The only thing wrong with that magazine is the fact that they feature Jazz and Funk players more than any other genre.

Only the Escapist Magazine. It counts. It's on Kindle too!

I also read New Scientist magazine. It's quite interesting, but it's almost half adverts.

Sure do. I read Atomic. It's an Australian PC Hardware enthusiast magazine. I initially got it to try to learn about PC's and I just kept on getting it.

I've always had a gaming magazine since I subscribed to Nintendo Power when I got an N64. Then I turned to EGM, but they went out of business. Now I get PC Gamer (US). I like it. It's good to read when brushing your teeth... And interesting stuff I may have missed online. And sometimes the stuff in magazines isn't even online.

Speaking of EGM, I see it's back now? Interesting... I even flipped to the back, and lo and behold, Seanbaby is there doing the column. Weird. I remember when they went out of business and I got Maxim mags instead. I didn't know why at first, until I found someone who posted something along the lines of:

"Imagine my surprise when we got a Maxim magazine in the mail with my 11 year old son's name on the cover. Couldn't they at least have told us what was going on? A note or email?"

I thought it was funny. But my god is the writing in those Maxim magazines terrible. And if you're getting it for the pics... That's like getting game magazines for the screen shots.

I still have my subscription to Game Informer that comes with the Gamestop Pro card.

It's just a nice thing to have around when I'm on the can taking one of my legendarily long dumps.

I also have a subscription to Maxim... but I didn't order it. I actually had a subscription to ANOTHER game magazine (EGM), that went out of business, so they just transfered my subscription over to Maxim for some reason. I'm just too lazy to cancel it.

Ha, the Maxim thing happened to others as well, I see. My sister was the first one to find my new Maxim, to which she said "Why they hell do you have THIS?".

Haha, my mom was the first for me. I thought I might have accidentally subscribed to it by joining a website or something. Then other people had it on the web. I felt a bit embarrassed every time it came in the post and I had to carry it home.

I read GQ, Game Informer (I got tricked into getting a subscription but find it rather enjoyable) and I will read magazines such as Filter or Q whenever I can get my hands on them.

I buy an issue of "Snob" every once in a while, which is a Russian photography/illustration/literature/short story magazine.

Also, MOJO always does me well. And a free magazine produced for Sheffield called "Now Then" which has a featured artist each month, as well as satirical, political, local, and music pieces.

Game Informer and National Geographic

Too bad science and gaming can't play nice all the time.

I read the scandinavian womens LARP magazine, which is PRETTY DAMN AWESOME! (if you are from scandinavia, and a woman who likes LARPing)...
