Freya's eyes widened as the word 'Mortal' left Julius' mouth. She felt a chill go down her spine. She couldn't even bring herself to say the word.

"Mor...We can die..."

Freya sat down on a boulder. Freya felt a cold chill that caused her to shiver. She gripped her staff tightly until her knuckles turned snow white. She gripped it too tightly, her hand began to bleed. It had been the first time she had seen in her own blood in ages. She opened her hand and saw her wound. Looking at it stunned her.

Die? Like mortals? No! If I must die then I shall do it protecting people from this monster!

She shook her head and stood up. Freya pushed the thoughts of dying far from her mind. She wrapped her hand with white cloth.

"If we are to die then we shall do it defeating Alkaloth. His tyranny shall end here, by our hands."

Kazimierz stared across the field, feeling something phase through his pathos.

It wasn't so much the sight of the words [i\]mortal[/i] on the human's lips, but more the [i\]sense[/i] of it that had passed through his form.

Being a disembodied soul was one thing.

Becoming a [i\]dead[/i] disembodied soul was completely different.

He would not allow that to happen. What was it that intern had told him on the day he decided to take a chance and raise his rank in the Orzhov food-chain?

[i\]Pull out all the fuckin' stops, or get the stoppers plugged in your ass.[/i]

He'd had a colorful way of putting things, but it rang true. He'd gave it his all.

Today, he would give [i\]all[/i] and more.

[i\]I'll give my [b\]servant's[/b] all. And if need be...[/i]

Kazimierz' shape tensed, and light, mist exuded from his eyes. He could feel the emotions of his "allies". He could feel there fear. Some of them had also caught drift of an airy word on the horizon... some were steeling themselves for a final battle, some were hardening their minds to the blood to come, others wondered what to have for dinner after it was over. He felt their memories as easily as he could remember his own. It made him... [i\]hungry[/i].

[i\]And if need be... i'll take [b\]their[/b] all.[/i]

Bartok looked to the pale human he tapped the shoulder, until he was quite sure he wasn't going to answer. He did manage to overhear several complaining of mortality. The thought shook him up and down with anticipation. Playing a game with a Planeswalker wasn't any fun unless the stakes were high. What could be higher than the cost of life? he pondered as he smiled silently to himself.

So the two teams spent the night in planning, awaiting the other to make the first move, it was a war of patience, as each side believed that the other had traps and ambushes waiting for them when they entered the others camp.

Days passed, and still nobody moved from either side. It grew obvious that nobody was going to attack, out of the fear of death that haunted each of the planeswalker's minds and movements.

Eventually, Alkaloth was the first to move, in the dead of night, he sneaked into Julius' camp and began to survey the area, it became quickly obvious that there were no traps waiting for them if they were to attack. Just right when he was at the center, he got the feeling of a longsword pressing against his shoulder.

"What are you doing?"

Julius brought his blade up to attack, but Alkaloth was quick on the counter, drawing his own sword.

Their clash awoke all of the fighters, and the war began anew

I'm not sure where to put my character sheet, so I'm gonna put it here:
Name: Lancelot du Lac
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Plane: Mythological Earth
Mana affinity: White

History: Lancelot used to serve at King Arthur's Round Table, but Merlin detected his Planeswalker potential, and tried to awaken it, with the hope that Lancelot's powers would aid Arthur's realm. However, Lancelot felt that his new power gave him a duty to a higher authority than Arthur, and often defied the king's orders in the name of the Greater Good. Arthur was enraged, and exiled Lancelot, who left the plane altogether. He began to wander the planes, bringing order into chaos and justice to the evil. When this Rp begins, he's only received his powers in the last few years

Fighting style: Lancelot wields a sword and lance, but his armour can also be used as a weapon, to bludgeon unsuspecting foes. All three are semi-sapient, providing him with boosted reflexes, speed and strength. He uses no magic, but his sentient equipment has an ingrained passive magic, of which he knows little, and has even less control.

Appearence: Lancelot wears sliver scale mail over his whole body, with stylised sliver plate for his breastplate, boots, gauntlets and helmet. He stands 6 feet tall, with short, light brown hair, and handsome, hawk-like face .

Faction: Neutral, but will likely side with Julius, because he's on the side of order.

Gimme a yell if anything's out of order, yeah?

Lancelot arrived in the new plane disorientated. It would take centuries, he thought, to get used to the feeling of being dragged out of reality by ones own hand. The effect was somewhat akin to being hung over

Thankfully, it only lasted a matter of seconds, and as the mental static and thumping headache died away, he heard the sounds of battle up ahead. He moved toward the noise

The battlefield came into sight, but nothing could be told of which forces were involved, being as they were hopelessly entangled in the confusion of combat. It seemed that one group had attacked the others camp, but also that the defenders were fighting furiously, and neither force had the upper hand

Lancelot leant on his sword and watched the battle unfold, searching for meaning or relevance in the chaos

I'd appreciate if someone could notice me and start a conversation, so as I can get some introductions =)

Rho'dar had awoken to the sound of the mighty clash.
"FINALLY!" He said. He had been quite ansty, with all the waiting. There was nothing that could get him quite so worked up as waiting when there were things to do.

Rho'dar left his tent, ignored the frontlines, and climbed a small hill. He was prepared to find whatever weakness in the enemy lines he could, then dive right in.

He spied a man, leaning on his sword.

"Are you going to help us, or are you just going to stand there looking?" Rho'dar asked.
"The fate of the multiverse is in the balance."

Elira grinned as the two Walkers clashed. And so, the brawl began.

She gathered Manna, allowing to rise fluidly through her blood. Elira felt herself bathe in the radiance of life as a thick wood rose around her, the boughs decked with brightly-coloured fruits. As the trees stretched towards the sky, Elira repeated her actions before; gathering the sustaining Manna of the trees into her body and hardening her skin into tough bark.

Elira laughed. Vigorous strength filled her body, and she felt invincible.

"Let them come."

Lancelot smiled "Just what I've been waiting for. I didn't want to get involved before I knew what was going on, but if there's the multiverse in danger, what can I do for you?"

As this doesn't pertain to the story, kindly keep it out of the thread or at the very least use spoiler tags.

This can [i\]not[/i] die. If there aren't any posts by tomorrow, my outhouse will be filled with bricks.

Toughie, I'm sure I'll understand the reasons this is going a little slow, but if what ThreeWords says is right, I will be somewhat angry. Not in a full rage, [i\]that[/i] will come later.

The battle took a turn for the chaotic, smoke and flame raged in each direction, lines shifted and reformed on opposite sides of the field, the fog of war had become dense enough to cut with whatever implement of death you cared to use.

Yet Kazimierz retained excellent control. He ordered thousands of troops into the fray, and all knew full well that the contracts they had signed would keep their souls from passing on. Their spirits would pay a toll, and be thrown back into battle. And if they were to succeed, they would be rewarded beyond comprehension. And more, they trusted their leader.

[i\]An army that never tires, an army that is completely loyal, an army that would ensure it's leader the epithet "the Great", an army that is bound by coin. Perfect.[/i]

The Obzedat spirit enjoyed the logistical aspects of war. He had been unrivaled back in the days of the guild wars in these terms, moving troops, supplies, and frontlines, was as easy as signing a sheet of paper.

But what he enjoyed most was controlling their lives.

He wished to make the best of this, and understood each of them had great potential.

[i\]If they follow my orders, they shall become great in the future.[/i]

He could practically read their minds, absorbing thier pathos was simple, and not necessarily fatal. Through it, he grew both stronger, and more knowledgeable.

After his routine management over the army was finished, hee stepped onto a neighboring hill to observe his work.

He realized he was sharing it.

Two others, who must not have noticed him, being obfuscated by black magic flying left and right.

One of them he recognized.

[i\]Another planeswalker commander who follows that altruist fool from Bant...[/i]

The other, he did not.

[i\]A neutral non-combatant, who is contemplating combat...[/i]

Kazimierz saw opportunity. He flared his form alight, with a black rush of nergy and violet luster. He sure they could see him now.

[b\][i\]"Who are you, knight? And why have you come?"[/i][/b]

I presume]I presume that you (Crowghast) meant that last part to be a communication...

An eldritch voice came whispering across the wind, quiet and yet somehow clearer than the sounds of battle.

Who are you, knight? And why have you come?

At the same time, a shape flared on a far hill, and Lancelot was sure that it was the source of the voice

"I am Sir Lancelot," he said, speaking to the far figure, though he kept his voice normal. He was sure the other could hear him, and he asked it, "Who are you?"

The other did not scare easily, despite Kazimierz' appearance, he did not flinch.

[b\][i\]"Kazimierz Roszedik, Obzedat Ghost Councillor for the Orzhov Guild, in the Church of Orzhova. Former Head Patriarch, Ex-Grand Treasurer."[/i][/b]

He allowed the knight a moment for such a long title to sink in.

[b\][i\]"I am surprised, Ser Lancelot, that you did not impose yourself as I have, with a great list of heraldic grants and epithets for your greater achievements. Is it not common to your profession, Ser Lancelot?"[/i][/b]

Lancelot smiled grimly at the words of the other. Pride, there, and hostility. This man would likely not be an ally

"It is the nature of my profession, Kazimierz Roszedik, Obzedat Ghost Councillor for the Orzhov Guild, that we should avoid pride and arrogance whenever possible, and let our deeds tell our glory. But since you ask, I too have many names.

"I am Sir Lancelot du Lac, late of Camelot, and the Round Table of Arthur, Holy King of England. Some have called me Lancelot the Brave, and before that I was known as Galahad the Pure."

He gave Kazimierz a second to absorb the words, given the store the being set by such names, then continued,

"And, oh great Former Patriarch, these were not mere job-titles, awarded for pleasing the right men, and greasing the right palms. No, these names were given me in gratitude by the people for whom I laboured. Are you satisfied now, Ex-Grand Treasurer?"

Kazimierz smiled. The knight had a sharp tongue, a wonderful trait for a man.

If one wished to lose said organ.

The knight was a classic example of the seven heavenly virtues. The kind who would completely deny that he represented them, as though to appear humble. Despite that, he thought highly of what he stood for, and he was loyal to whomever he was representing as the "people for whom I laboured".

Kazimierz liked him. But he would have to choose his words carefully.

[b\][i\]"I am sorry to hear your opinions of me sway to the descriptions 'arrogant' and 'prideful'. Perhaps my long life in the occupation of business and my success within has given me some overbearing tendencies. So I must apologize if I have given slight to your sense of honor by assuming your character by a simple first impression. Perhaps you shall see on the field of battle there, if my deeds give insight to you."[/i][/b]

The spirit moved to the side, making gesture that the knight should walk with him.

[b\][i\]"One of those tendencies, is formal introduction. We come from different worlds, you and I, Ser Lancelot. And I can tell from such genuine discourse as you have shown, that you are a man of integrity. We need someone like that on our side."[/i][/b]

Rho'dar seethed at the sight of the spirit attempting to court this new arrival away from his side.

Rho'dar stepped forward from where he had been standing, and said, "Spirit, you know that such a man would never assist evil such as yourself and that elf."

Rho'dar spat out the last word - he may be on the elves' side now, but he still had a severe disposition against them. 'Twas such a pity.

We have a problem, I can't decide what direction I want to take with this RP.

My newest idea was to create a god like character, and force both teams together to defeat it. This would turn the RP into a typical campaign, which I can do rather well.

However, this would also defeat the entire original idea of the game, and anybody who saw my Death Note RP knows how well doing that turns out. So I'm going to ask you guys, what direction do you guys want to go in with this RP?
