Excellent ideas all! But I suppose ideally these should hopefully be events that one could reasonably replicate in a real life con panel. This was perhaps not previously spelled out

...how do you reasonably replicate an Anime Transformation in real life?

The quick change is a relatively standard magic trick, and most who don't specialize in cards or close-up at least grasp the basics of how it's done -- you could implement an anime transformation as a series of them if done well. You'd need two cosplayers if the transformation involves any kind of significant changes in physicality though.
