This game is absolutely amazing. Its 10$ on steam, and by buying it you support a first time indie dev. If they can make a game like this on first try, I wanna see what they can make with a bit more money behind them.

TotalBiscuit did a video about this game as well:

Its apparantly like gauntlet.

You have a wizard and 8 elements. You have 5 slots on your spell bar and you mix and match elements on there to cast a spell. Then theres predefined spells as well etc. Its very entertaining.

Fuck totalbuscuit, the guy isn't informative at all & knows little of what he's talking about especially when concerned with SCII.
"Ah the old 4 gate", it was actually a 3 gate robo but whatever /facepalm.

The guy is a failure.

Rant over, I honestly wouldn't mind trying it. Is there a demo available for this?

Demo is on the sidebar.

Also TB knows next to nothing in everything he does, and yet seems to think he is great. (Also, I seriously laughed out loud when he had serious stress related issues and had to stop posting in his Youtube comments because he had been getting trolled in every single on for the past 6 months)

Bought it earlier today. Won't even start on my computer. Basically if you have a laptop this game will not run for you no matter what, at least that's what everyone with a laptop has been saying on the Steam Forums. Waste of 10$ even if you have a high end laptop/computer. Apparently it's riddled with bugs and problems. But I wouldn't know because I can't even get the thing to start.

Doesn't really matter if he knows what he's talking about or not. The guy is entertaining.

The dev team is very dedicated to fixing any issues that pop up. There has already been a patch today. A patch on launch day. How many devs have you seen been able to do that?

Saw the preview on this site. Rather interested. Will have to check the demo out now that I know there is one.

Arguably I would rather have a Dev Team that doesn't release a game that is so buggy. If you check the Steam Forums for this game it's flooded with people having problems. Also the game has a laughably high minimum system requirement list. People with High End PC's can't get the thing to run without it lagging like crazy, and then people like me can't get the thing to run at all despite my laptop only being 3 months old and going above and beyond the min system requirements.

If I could trade in Undergarden and get this game instead I would.

But my gamble on value money has been spent.

Good game, worth the cost, but I felt like they needed more checkpoints...Not because the enemies were all that hard...I just like exploring...In open water...And wizards can't swim...I died and saw the same series of cutscenes 3 times before figuring out the pond didn't go anywhere.

Tried the demo, I kept getting killed on the crashed ship goblins, and it sent me back to the beholder. Odd point for a checkpoint, frustrating too. Also couldnt tell what the 2nd symbol in rain was.

As Kotaku points out, you will fail at Magicka... [http://kotaku.com/5742768/spell-check-5-mistakes-to-avoid-in-magicka]

However, the game is pretty cool. Nice to see someone giving the player some freedom. Spellcasting in games too often relies on a few preset spells or uses various limitations (mana, cooldowns, etc.) to curtail it. Here, you cast as much as you want, whatever you want, however you want. And you will end up blowing yourself up. Repeatedly. And then you'll drown. And the game will still be fun! :)
