Now that you mention it, yeah, that is pretty creative. Especially since it centers around the theme of the game.

OP: Possibly Super Mario 64. I know that's an old game, but to this day, I have yet to see a main menu in which you can tug and pull at the main character's face.

Speaking of games that just jump right into the game.

You know which game had a crap menu? Fable 3. I'm not talking about the Sanctuary, I'm talking about the actual pause menu.

If they had assigned the Sanc and the pause menu seperately to the Start and Back buttons, I would have been fine with that. But to actually pause the game, you have to switch to the Sanctuary, fumble around until you finally can get around the big table in the middle to get to the thing on the wall, and then select it. Or, in my case, I pressed the 360 guide button.

But seriously. I want to pause the game for ten seconds, and I have to waste fifteen trying to find the damn button. Not impressed.

(Also, no multiple characters option? Wtf? *rage*)

I know Kirby: squeak squad has bubbles as part of it's menu, popping whichever one you wanted to do.

I kinda like Marvel Vs. Capcom 3's main menu. Nothing too interesting in the menus themselves, but the swooshing between fight stills is pretty cool.

That's the best I can think of that hasn't already been said though.

One of the things that greatly greatly annoys me is pointlessly inefficient menus. Every EA game is designed with an arty unresponsive menu that is just frustrating to navigate. It's fine in a singleplayer game where you're never in the menu, but in a game like fifa it's a constant pain.

Dispite my not liking the game too much as i only played single player. Black Ops has a nice menu. Plus you can walk around the area to. It's a nice touch and it works well.

Fable 3's menu was excellent. I like the way it was integrated into the game and how easy it was to use. If you got fed up of actually navigating round it you can use the D-pad to quick jump to what ever room you need. What's more shocking however is that i was something that was so hyped that i immediately thought 'oh no not again...more hype less substance *sigh*'. i was glad to be proven wrong on that.

Also FFXIII's menus had nice artwork imo.
