Annnnnnnd now I'm officially disgusted by ME 3 topics. For the love of god, people...can we not just move on already? Didn't we all already know that a shitload of content was left out after they realesed that "Final Hours of Mass Effect 3" thing? Do we really...REALLY need to keep picking at this scab?

We fucking get it, they absolutely butchered the god damn ending...we no longer need reminders or evidence of how butchered it really was. I can't believe I'm actually saying this to fellow gamers but please, get a frickin' life. Stop playing ME 3 if you hate it so much. Stop looking up new reasons to hate the ending as if you didn't already have enough reasons to begin with.

Sheesh...
We want a public apology of all the involved parties including the main responsible person committing seppuku on livestream. :p

Most of Jacobs cut dialogue sounds like he's in the delivery room yelling at his wife (hopefully), telling her to push.

This drives me absolutely mad. I just want someone from Bioware to come out and say exactly what's going on: why is the ending like it is, whose fault it is, what the original plan was, whether they were planning ending DLC all along, whether they're actually sorry. It's not the ending that's annoying me any more, it's all the PR bull
While I am as annoyed with the PR bull as the next guy, I have to ask how it would have looked if as soon as the backlash hit loads of Bioware employees had started throwing blame around. Even if it would had been true, it sure as hell wouldn't have been classy; and I imagine many of us would have just dismissed them as grasping at straws, using their own colleagues as scapegoats in order to absolve themselves from blame. While I think fans were treated very poorly I wouldn't have much preferred to see the solidarity of the team get torn apart and fed to the wolves in front of my eyes.

Yeah, and that was made perfectly clear by like, week 2 of the whole ending controversy. A month and a half later we've still got slap-dicks running up with their magnifying glasses saying "OMG WTF I FOUND A NEW REASON TO GET PISSED AT THE ENDING!!!!!!!!"

We.
Don't.
Fucking.
Need.
It.

I totally agree with you, 'whose fault it was' is neither necessary nor constructive. I'm definitely not calling for a witch-hunt. However, if they, as a team, admitted to what went on (all they have to say is 'we ran out of money/time' and I'd accept that) and explained to us exactly what they're going to do about it I wouldn't feel half as annoyed about the whole thing. In fact, I don't think I'd feel annoyed about it at all any more. I'd have done what 95% of the internet has been begging people like me to do and I'd have stopped talking about it. It's gotten to the stage where their excessive arse-covering is making people act like screaming, whiny fanboys, and the screaming whiny fanboys are making bioware close ranks and cover their arse. Someone has to stop the cycle, and I think it should be them.

It would have been great to have the final missions difficulty be altered by your resources. An example includes your about to go up against a large amount of banshees, then a platoon of Geth primes come in to fight them (That'd be cool, Machines vs Demons....)

Same goes for your fleets and such, the Turians punch a hole through the reapers while the Quarians defend the crucible etc.

It'd be the best ending to the game franchise, all it needed was for our choices to matter, not be part of a big addition problem.

I don't understand how people can still talk about "supporting the developer" with a straight face when it comes to EA. With them sales lead to worse production quality time and time again, not much is different with the other major publishers.

The only studios worth supporting these days are the independent ones.
.....Really?

So....the developers of Assassins creed shouldn't be supported?
Team Visceral should be ignored?
Guerrilla Games should be ignored?

Publishers may affect a game but that doesn't mean we should ignore people like DICE just because EA uses them.

Oh, for the love of...

Just when I was about ready to move on to the acceptance stage, and just wait for the extended cut to hopefully salvage what little that could be saved, stuff like this comes up.

Seriously, they devoted resources to put shameless pandering like Jessia Chobot and useless filler like the MechDog into the game, but good stuff like this is left out?

What the hell went wrong?!

No surprise there, though I will say that budget constraints were definitely not the reason for it. Time, perhaps; money, no; most likely suspect is still EA, whether they pushed the game to come out when it was not ready or forced a more open ending - or both - is up for debate.
Remember you aren't getting the cut content back.

Ok, ok. You know what I don't get? How the fuck did Bioware NOT have as much time as they wanted to make this game! Were they really rushed this much and if they were why did they wait until the last minute to do the ending? It's mother fucking Bioware, I'm sure EA would've given them an extra couple of months. Right? Right!

Well you also have to remember the massive November leak caused such an outcry over how the game would have ended that Bioware ended up scrapping that idea and were scrambling to come up with a new ending to their game. So they did run out of time, and since EA had poured so much money into marketing, they were not going to let the game be delayed for another month or 2.

Probably never buying another Bioware game again (new, at least).
These are basically my feelings, we've been burned too many times recently and like the FF series im through trying to remember the good old days to validate the present. Its unfortunate that their being bought by EA ruined an otherwise flawless developer, but to put it in nerd speak, their not our developer anymore, their just another EA zombie.

Lol really? EA is RETARDED when it comes to business (at least game business). I'm speechless. That's what happens when you rush a game like that. I hope you learned your lesson, EA!

I'm so angry that there was a good ending somewhere in Mass Effect 3, but Casey Hudson wanted a open ended ending that people would talk about for years and that turned into a piece of crap full of flaws and plot holes. I guess I should feel hopeful because the battle for Earth might be a good multiplayer dlc, even though that would probably not be free and it should be free.
