Make a bad game better with one change.

We all have played bad games, or at the very least experienced them via lets plays or other sources. And we all know at least one game, which, if only one thing was different, would have been not bad.

I humbly ask you to make a suggestion about changing one thing about a bad game to make it at least decent.

My choice: Final Fantasy X-2. FFX is one of my favorite games (if not the favorite), but its direct sequel... Not so much. I mean, I liked the battle system and I think I am one of the few people who actually liked dressphere mechanic (although I wish their outfits would not have been revealing), but everything else is... Not good.
The change I would make? Replace Yuna with other, new heroine, but keep her as someone like a boss of this group. Make her the Charlie of those Angels. I am indifferent towards Paine, and I don't really give a damn about Rikku, but bastardising my favorite female character? Unforgivable!

If this change would have been made, FFX-2 would still have been a "super happy fun-fun time maho-shojo animu" game. But at the very least it would have been a "super happy fun-fun time maho-shojo animu" game that did not butcher Yuna.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.
Just make battles more impactful! There are so many good things that even Torchlight can borrow from this game, but battles still feel mediocre! Give them some impact! Make shot feel like a shot and strike feel like a strike!

All fighting games should be all nude - tits and shlongs flopping all over the place. It would be highly entertaining.

Every current and last gen game, Don't charge money for DLC.
To be honest, as long as the DLC actually adds new content and expands the game world instead of locking you out of the game altogether...I think DLC is okay.

OT:
League of Legends, people are now not raging dicks over everything.

There you go. I fixed the entire game for everyone in the galaxy.

Alpha Protocol - Remove the Pistol as a Weapon (I think this is a good game but the Pistol makes it far too easy)

Mass effect 3. Give the developers the time they needed to actually get in something good.
Make that most post-EA bioware games.

Bioshock: Change the middle part with Andrew Ryan to make sense and be to the game's true ending. By consequence, everything in the second half of the game will be optional sidequests.

Too Human - Change the death sequence to something much less painfully slow and boring.

I would have played a lot more of that game had I not had to sit through that Valkyrie thing time and time again.

Soul Calibur 5- If I can only have one change, it would to have Namco take this half-baked turkey and put in back into the oven for another half year. Or however long it would take them and flesh out its story mode. Give us a reason to give a damn about all of these new characters they're throwing at us.

The new SimCity would be a whole lot better with bigger maps. Would make for far more interesting and varied cities. Also, that way you can be self-sufficient enough not to have to rely on (online) partner cities, plus you can smooth out the nonsense caused by the retarded traffic system.

Better cover mechanics in Killzone 2. Recently retried it and couldn't stand having to hold 3 buttons and twiddle the analog a bit just to pop out of cover.

Errr, I have some ideas for the opposite actually. Make some good games way better with one change.

Spelunky: Let me pan out, control the camera and see the entire level, and then pan back to the auto-follow camera. Often times in this game you are killed by something that occurs off-screen (arrow trap, leaping scorpion, Thwomps).

Minecraft: AoE tools/AoE placement of blocks. Nuff said.

Skyrim: Remove that stupid kill-cam that takes control away from you and slows the pace of the game. V.A.T.S. was fun because the PLAYER had control over when they wanted to use it. Skyrim's kill-cam is randomly occuring.

Guild Wars 2: Make the game less punishing. I stopped playing before I even got to level 10, because I died so much.

Dark Souls: Oh. Shit. Can't improve this game because it's pretty much perfect. :)

MMORPGs in General, but also specifically WoW: Stop forcing me to pick only 2 professions. Geezus. I get it, you don't want uber-duber hardcores controlling the 'markets', but that happens ANYWAY, because those players are fucking HARDCORE. You can't stop them. If they want 1,000,000 gold, they'll have it. In a week. Let us play around with all of the professions so we can make our own shit. The people who would be fine dumping gold for stuff (for whatever reason, lack of time etc.) will still do just that.

I could probably do this with all of my beloved games. But I'll stop here.

edit: By the way, I realize Dark Souls is right below my GW2 punishing sentence, and that may seem hypocritical. It would, if I considered Dark Souls to be punishing, which I don't.

Wind Waker -> Instead of fishing for Triforce pieces under the ocean, you find them in dungeons under the ocean.

A lot of people seem to be mentioning average/good games here, rather than games that are actually bad, but I guess it is really hard to fix an bad game with just one change, although I do know one.

Sonic Unleashed - Remove the medals. They are just there for padding the game out, and in a Sonic game I have having to stop and turn around every two seconds to make sure I haven't missed a medal killed it for me. It gets worse and worse as you get further in the game and every new level requires more and more medals, which just means backtracking and replaying old levels over and over again.

Increase the movement speed in Morrowind. It's a good game for the most part, but that single problem makes it unplayable to a lot of people. Better combat would be good too, but isn't quite as bad an issue.
