Guild wars 2, allow you to enter first person mode OR make it so character progression feels more rewarding, I either want to feel like I'm accomplishing something via character progression or I want to explore and see a beautiful world without 33% of my screen being taken up by the back of my characters head and another 20% of the screen being taken up by the hud leaving me with a measly 47% of the screen to see what the fucks going on.

World of Warcraft, Allow you to Transmorgify white/grey items, most of the vanity sets that don't look like crap they made in that game are white or grey and I hate that I can't make my character not look like he's dressed up for a cheesy play.

League of Legends, A better Ban/suspension system, everyone I know who's gotten banned/suspended gets banned/suspended months after they were reported and can barely even remember what they were suspended for, maybe make it so you can see any outstanding tickets people have against them so the effects of getting reported feel more immediate and impactful then, one day I might possibly get suspended for a week maybe because I think some one might've reported me.
A friend of mine was a super big dick for a couple of months on league because he was in a shitty spot and was raging then three months later he gets suspended for a day, then the suspension wears off and he's immediately suspended for a week, then a month, then perma banned, with next to no play time in between.

Kingdom hearts Dream drop Distance, Get rid of the dream drop timer, for those of you not aware of it what it does is it forces you to switch between each character after a set period of time that is dependant on how many enemies you kill as the other character and it doesn't stop for cut scenes or minigames, when you drop you restart what you were doing as your previous character from a set check point, I can't finish the game because half way through I've gotten stuck on a boss with both of my characters that opens up with a cutscene + scripted quick time event minigame that takes longer than it takes to drop so I finish the quick time event on rikku then it drops and it goes through the cutscene+quick time event again on Sora then it drops and I have to do it on rikku again then it just keeps repeating, really fucking bad design mechanic.

Final Fantasy Tactics, work on a better level curve/remove save points that pop up before battles without letting you retreat from them. I couldn't finish FF tactics because I was owning everyone I fought against 1 hit KO's no problem for three fights then it prompted me to save after I finished one of the missions so I hit yes after which it immediately put me in a fight against a boss that was easily 3-5 times stronger than the fight I had just finished who I couldn't concievably beat without going to grind first which it wouldn't let me do because I had just saved over my original save with a file that when loaded up dropped right into that boss fight again.
Either that or make it so you can skip the tutorial and cutscenes, the tutorial for that fucking game takes an entire hour to complete and each of the scripted mash O to skip cutscenes are long and aggravating, if it didn't have 5 hours of that bullshit between me and where I got stuck I would've just started over.

FF 13, Make the combat fun or engaging in some way.

Deus Ex Human Revolution, Remove the boss fights they don't lend themselves well to the general flow of the game since it's more of a stealth game than a beat em up which is how most of the boss fights unfold. Replace them with more big mob battles.

Far Cry 2: Implement non-hostile AI and actual faction-based gameplay into your faction-based missions/storyline.

Assassin's Creed II and up: When the player is pursuing a target and makes the kill, don't have the character turn to the side and double-kill two civilians. In general, interpreting player commands in ways that make sense (jump down to the lower ledge just below the higher roof you're on) instead of ways that don't (jump past the lower ledge and down to the street six stories below) would drastically improve things.

Dragon Age II: Multiple waves of enemies in every battle make the combat more boring than it ever was in the first game. Make battles short but harrowing like they used to be.

DotA 2.
Ban Russian from non-Russian servers. Not the players, just the fucking language. It's a team game, so when a queue for a west European server, I don't want all of the players speaking fucking Russian. There is a Russian server. Use that.

Some of these aren't bad, but I think they could use the changes:

Mass Effect 3 - I can live with the ending, but if they wanted to make the engine "multiplayerable" and like GoW then I wish it would have been as fluid and easy to play as GoW. It feels very stiff and wonky, even compared to ME2.

L.A. Noire- make the investigations and interrogations have more depth and nuance than the stupid "truth/doubt/lie" system, and it could be my favorite game ever.

Alan Wake - Remove the Stephen King wanking and pages that spoil what's about to happen to you, and you have a great action-thriller.

Every Assassin's Creed game - Make the PC port not shit. The 360 version barely pulls 30fps and the PS3 versions are even worse, hovering around 20. I want to enjoy them but every version is technically hobbled in some way.

Most of the truly bad games I found needed a hell of a lot more than one thing changed for them to be considered good.

Ooh! I got it. Force Unleashed 2 is a bad game. The one change would be...more time in the oven or at least more length if that isn't a valid change. I can deal with the ridiculously stupid boss battles, and strong desire to be God of War, but I beat that fucker in something like 4 hours and it was glitchy throughout.

Call of Duty (Series): ...

...

...

... grab a lifevest and jump to another boat, but don't bring the burning children to burn this one.

Mass Effect 3: Give us a real ending, kill the star child.

Uncharted (The series): Naughty Dog decides to make Jak 4 instead.

Saints Row 3-4: *Points at Saints Row 2* Be more like your older brother.

Beyond Two Souls: Remove David Cage ... add Jim Sterling ... with a David Cage mask.

Dragon Age (Series): Give me my dual-wielding warrior and we'll be square.

The Sims (Series): Make me a murderer!

Final Fantasy: ... I don't like Lightning, I mean I love lighting THE element, but not lightning the character.

Neverwinter Nights (series): Make another one!

Myself: Less complaining.

There we go. :D

I like how half of these suggestions basically amount to, "SPEND ANOTHER 6 MONTHS OF MANPOWER TO FINISH THE GAME"
There's nothing wrong with that though.

If a game needs more polish and isn't ready for release, it shouldn't be released.

Mass effect 3. Give the developers the time they needed to actually get in something good.
Make that most post-EA bioware games.
This guy/gal right here got it in one.

Dark Souls: Oh. Shit. Can't improve this game because it's pretty much perfect. :)
Fix the PC version so that you don't have to sign into multiple Microsoft websites just to save the game! This kind of DRM crap is exactly what makes piracy thrive!
It's going to be an agonising wait for GFWL to be patched out, isn't it?

I worry that it won't happen due to From Software lacking PC development experience, but it's only GFWL, it's not like Steamworks integration, right?

...right?

Or at least make them more ambiguous/well written. You leave with the impression that, wow, Alan Wake is a terrible writer. Inelegant prose and no suspense. That's hardly Stephen King, now, is it?

OT: Far Cry 3 - Make Jason Brody likable and believable. I still despise that fucking prick.
Oh yes. I loved everything about Far Cry 3. Except Jason. He was such a douchebag. I really have no other word for him. I suppose that him being a douchebag could fit within the premise of the story, but I could not take him seriously as the protagonist.

Final Fantasy 13- A story that makes sense. Stop making up gibberish names for everything and adding a ton of confusing information, then contradicting half of it later in the story.

Or

A traditional combat/leveling system. I want to control everyone I field, and I want to control how they develop. Stop railroading me into preset builds and single character action.

Square Enix, if your design team has such a fraking hard-on for Devil May Cry, give them a new series to work on, I'm tired of DMC getting shoehorned into my Final Fantasy.

Risen 2 - Give it the same dodging mechanic that the first Risen had. So many problems with combat would be fixed by this.

Also, I would say take Deus Ex: Human Revolution, remove the nonsensical unavoidable boss combat sequences. Put whatever moron came up with that in front of a firing squad and have the inquisition hunt and burn all his works, then nuke the third-party company that implemented the idea, just to be sure.
The actual combat sequences themselves are fine -- quite decent even, but they really don't belong in a Deus Ex game.
